I feel a bit sorry for him as he has been around in a bad era for heavyweights, but Vitalis resume reads like a who's who of fat bums, old men, no hopers and green rookies The only time he has ever stepped in the ring with a class fighter, he left 25 minutes later looking like his face had been attacked with a lawnmower At least he gets to change that when he steps in the ring with Germany's 3rd best heavyweight next time up
The Klitschko era was a bad one but what can we do? At least it's almost over. Vitali did well for himself.
And yet he has the best resume of the current era. His run right when he returned was pretty beastly to be honest: Sam Peter: 30-1 Juan Carlos Gomez: 44-1 Chris Arreola: 27-0 he can only fight the best
The sad thing is Haye's resume honestly isnt that bad at heavyweight, just become popular to discredit anything Haye.
I dont I think hes lucky hes fighting in a garbage era. If he fought in a better era with better fighters, he would have been exposed sooner.
Not sure how Vitali's era is 'weak' or 'terrible'. The 30s and 80s weren't any better. The last 12 years were just as good or bad as those periods.
His resume is fine. Not fantastic, but not bad either. Watch some of the guys Foreman, Ali, and Tyson fought sometime on ESPN classic. They make Albert Sosnowski look like an ATG.
