Marciano's resume isn't exactly sparkling, either. it's become a running joke how some of these guys constantly overrate the past while knowing nothing about it, and constantly deride the present for reasons known only to them.
I'll ask what someone always asks - Who should he have fought to make it better? The same can go for his brother.
The K2 era could very well be the worst in HW boxing history - the early 30's and pre tyson 80's look bad enough but in comparison with this era they look like two golden ages of heavyweight competition . Its not thier fault though and they are way ahead of anyone else - but thier fanboys need reminding every so often just how poor thier era is .
FACTS about Vitali Klitschko - He is one of the greatest heavyweights of all time - WBC heavyweight champion of the world - Has never truly lost - There is no blueprint to beat him - He is unbeatable - Statistically most dominant fighter of all time - He has dominated every opponent he has ever faced - 46 have tried and 46 have been dominated - Has never been behind on the scorecards - Has never lost more than 2 rounds in a fight - Has never been knocked down - Has made 12 title defenses - Greatest Heavyweight Champ KO% of all time - Only man ever to be world heavyweight champ in boxing and kickboxing - Vitali is 40 and is still dominant HW champ - Vitali beats any HW from any era
The Klitschko era is the strongest era of all time. All of the ridiculously overrated American HW champs of the past were FRAUDS, they should all have asterisks next to their names because they were really only LOCAL champs, not world champs. They never fought any Eastern Europeans, Cubans, Africans, etc. in the pros. All of the best heavyweights from USA, UK, Russia, Poland, Uzbekistan, Africa, Cuba, etc. have been defeated by the Klitschkos. The Klitschkos would dominate any era This content is protected
Hardly. Overrating the past is one of the easiest things to do. Everybody from the past is better than everyone today only because it's easier to knock people you see all the time in comparison to people you only see in a few film clips. Someone like Marciano's big rival Roland La Starza wouldn't even be a challenge for Cris Arreola, much less Vitali.
