Vitali would KO Wilder and Fury in the same night.

And Lennox Lewis too. Cause lets face the facts, Lewis got owned all fight, won a lucky cuts victory, and retired.

Vitlai's record is mediocre but it shits all over Wilder's.

Sam Peter, Shanon Briggs, Herbie Hide, Corrie Sanders, Tomaz Ademek, and Juan Carlos Gomez were all pretty legit, each arguably better than Ortiz, Wilder's best win.

    Face it...Wilder is crap.

Wilder has a defense by draw as well, the post seems to mix up title defenses and wins a bit if I'm reading it correctly.

They do have similar level resumes. Ortiz is about the same level as Peter and Sanders.

2004-2012 was such a poor heavyweight era. The only guys around for Vitali to fight were his brother Wladimir, Povetkin, Chagaev, and Valuev.

2015-2022 was a little better. Deontay had Fury, Joshua, Wladimir, Povetkin, Parker, and Whyte. I'd still like to see him get into the ring with Andy Ruiz. He lost badly three times but at least we got to see what would happen when he fought another elite heavyweight.

It's true Vitali's resume gets a pass while Fury and Wilder are always hammered.

If you look at some of Vitali's best wins, they'd be shrugged off for anyone else.

Chisora: A young Fury had already beaten Chisora before Vitali fought him. And Chisora isn't a champion fighter.
Adamek: Adamek was a very good LHW but he wasn't a true cruiser let alone HW by any means.
Sanders: Sanders was getting old and there was a long lay-off after the Wlad fight.
Briggs: Come on. Big roid power but never a skilled boxer.
Arreola: Was a solid contender but nobody else would get credit for beating him. Adamek actually beat Arreola, so ...
Solis: Didn't he fall over against Vitali and do his knee? So that's not even a real win.

Vitali should/could have at least fought Valuev, Haye, Fury (remember Vitali chose Chisora over Fury even though Fury beat Chisora) and probably others.

Vitali is massively overrated. Yes, he's tough and is a nightmare for smaller fighters who can't get to him (which is what he specialised in), but his power is average for his size, very average really. And he's not that hard to hit if you have some reach and skill. He also CAN be hurt, as Sanders showed when he wobbled Vitali with a single short hook.

I'm a big Klitschko fan but I'll be one of the first to say Vitalis resume is overrated. Despite that, it edges out Wilders. Wilder fought a a better era and had plenty of chances to fight some top 10 contenders. PBC took what could have been a solid HW run in the current era and overprotected it. I think if Wilder had mixed it up with the likes of Whyte, Parker, Povektin then he would have beat Fury in their first match but his poor opposition caused him to stagnate.

Personally I think Vitali's resume has more depth. Wilder really only has one decent win in Ortiz and with guys like Peter, Hide, Sanders, Gomez etc are arguable better wins than Ortiz.

Even if you think both have comparable resumes, fact is Vitali dominated his opposition for the most part, crushing Hide, out classing Peter, Arreola and Adamek while Wilder was wobbled by Molina, out boxed by Washington, had to dig deep vs Duhaupas and before the KO was have a fairly competitive fight with Szpilka who was crushed easily by Chisora.

I doubt Wilder could go through Vitali's resume in such dominant fashion, I expect he'd struggle with a lot of them before his power saved him.

Both poor record for HWs but Wilder is just another level of poor and Vitalli clearly has the better record of the two (Chisora would Wilders best ever win and I wouldn't be confidential in picking Wilder to beat him).
