What do you want me to say you knob? 1/ Yes, Frazier beat Ali in their first fight....and? 2/ I don't know whether Liston threw the 2nd fight because he owed money to the mob, and more to the point, neither do you. He may have thrown it because he was scared of reprissals by the Nation of Islam??? I take it you really don't want to rebut the points I made in the earlier post...thats cool :good Isn't it a little bit past your bedtime :nut
It is not past my beadtime at all you complete joke, that knows nothing about anything. Here is something about the "great Ali' career" you ******. Frazier knocked Ali flat on his back. Joe Frazier beat Ali in a fight where Ali and Frazier got into the ring as undefeated fighters--and Ali left the ring as a beaten fighter who was knocked flat on his back in the final round. Ali is the only heavyweight champion in the history of boxing to lose his title to a novice who had only seven professional fights. The decision Ali got over Doug Jones was highly disputed. The decision Ali got over Jimmy Young was highly disputed. The decisions Ali got over Ken Norton were highly disputed. West Coast sportwriter Jim Murray wrote of the seccond Norton-Ali fight, "If Ali won this fight, then Japan won World War Two." Ali opponent Leon Spinks in their second left for the ring without his low blow protector, and had to return to the dressing room and borrow a sweaty one from lightheavyweight Mike Rossman, who had just fought. Heavyweight champion Spinks then returned to the ring, where, after seven rounds of the fight, Spinks' cornerman and trainer Georgie Benton left the ring and the arena, later expressing his disgust publicly at the level of Spinks' performance in that fight. The news media showered Ali with praise for winning the title "a third time" in this fight with an opponent in the condition as described above. Ali refused to give Jimmy Young a rematch, even after Young beat Foreman. Ali was knocked down by 185 1/2 pound Henry Cooper (left hook). Ali was knocked down by Sonny Banks in Ali's 11th pro fight (left hook). Ali was knocked flat on his back by Joe Frazier (left hook). Ali never went to a neutral corner after scoring a knockdown in his fight with aged Archie Moore. The referee did not enforce this basic rule which applies to all other fighters. Ali never went to a neutral corner after scoring a knockdown in his fight with Bonavena. The referee did not enforce this basic rule which applies to all other fighters. Ali never went to a neutral corner after scoring a knockdown in his second fight with Liston. The referee did not enforce this basic rule which applies to all other fighters. George Chuvalo, Floyd Patterson, Joe Louis, Jack Dempsey, Gene Tunney all said publicly that they considered the one punch knockout of Sonny Liston by Ali to be a fake. Ali opponent Cleveland Williams fought Ali in a physical condition where Williams was missing one kidney, ten feet of his small intestine, and had a shriveled left leg from nerve damage caused by the bullet he was shot in the stomach with at point blank range a year and a half before he fought Ali. Yet the news media showered praise on Ali for his win over this crippled opponent, even asserting that this fight against a crippled Cleveland Williams showed that Ali was "the greatest of all time." Vitali will KTFO ANY other HW you care to place in front of him over the next 6 months. You american loser! You have no one to challenge him you LOSER
Lewis was the *****, he literally grabbed the microphone from Merchant's hand and started acting like he had control of the fight. He was very defensive and crossed the line-- very unprofessional--kind of like some of his defensive posters who rely on insulting because they are unsure about themselves.. Why are you Brits are so worried about with Vitali? Dave Haye? Anyway, Vitali gives Dave hell.
you look like some old and ugly **** that gets no ***** in your pic. I would absolutely love to meet you and beat the living daylights out of you. Oh please PM now. I am really interested in you now you ****ing sheep.
:huh I mention Foreman once, and get a diatribe about Ali...interesting, I never really rated him that highly Your making yourself look a bit of a tit now :deal
Lewis was 37. The extra weight was a tactic that him and Steward planned on using to beat Vitali. If you listen to their corner during breaks; you can listen to Steward telling Lewis to lean on him to sap his energy. Sorry to re-visit something that has been talked about over and over again, but Lewis stated in an article prior to the bout that he still wanted a few more fights.
Lewis was old, inactive and out of shape when he fought Vitali, noone but Klithuggers dispute this furthermore at his age he had every right to bow out gracefully something RJJ, Holyfield, and Tyson to name a few should have done earlier.
:good Exactly, I don't understand why the guy gets so much credit for his LOSING effort against the WORST version of Lewis to ever step into the ring.
In either case he got the "W", but he deprived boxing fans of one of the most looked upon rematches in boxing history. If he doesn't want to fight, he doesn't want to fight, but people 5 years later (hardcore boxing fan or not) still say he chickened out.
The man was old and had NOTHING to prove, Vitali on the other hand didn't give Rahman a chance while he was young, anyway why should he come out of retirement now?
