Watching the fight yesterday I'm suprised nobody else has noted what I did - that being the fact Vitali looks to be in absolutely amazing shape dwarfing his large younger brother not only in height but also size; he was massive and has clearly trained hard these past few months! The man is serious!!

*if* he makes it into this fight vs Peter I'm now 100% certain peter gets KO'd. Watch. Bookmark - whatever floats your boat but mark my words :thumbsup

Its kind of funny and cool to see Vitali, as big as he is, bringing up the rear as their entourage makes its way to the ring.

Seeing Vitali at ringside reminds me what kind of a fighter he is, and that Vitali / Peter will be a dramatic event.

An 80% vitali knocks peter out

But looking in fighting shape and being in it off a long lay off are to diff things all together.

He is just such a massive guy.

It's amazing, Wlad is every bit 6'7 but seeing them live, Vitali is visibly the taller guy.

Even though I think he risks retiring on his stool over something stupid, I CANT WAIT to see what happens...

Vitali in his prime was a great HW who kicked some real ass.

Vitlai is a legit 6'7 1/2". Wlad is about 6'6". I agree Vitali looked solid last night, but keep in mind boxing shoes are low to the ground, and Vitlai was wearing normal shoes, which is why he looked " that " much bigger than Wlad.

Exactly. Not too many fighters have been able to come back after such a long layoff, take on one of the best fighters in their division, and come away with a victory. And, given Vitali's history, you have to make it a crapshoot as to whether he'll even MAKE it into the ring.

I want you all to remember this wise post by Zakman after the fight, so you will have to fairly to give VK the credit he will be due for his destruction of Peter, after coming into take him on, COLD, after four years off, and two or three surgeries............:good

Its gonna be quite a feat, no doubt. He's not warming up on a Roman Greenburg or a TOS.........he's coming straight out of retirement to take on what is considered to be one of the top four heavyweights in the world.

I dont think you tell with a shirt on and not actually fighting, the Peter fights scheduled for early October, he has 3 months to find a way to duck this fight like did 4 times againt Rahman and once against McCline last year.

Not really sure from the short glimpses we saw, but I thought Vitali's arms looked a bit bigger and more pumped up.

I think for Peter, he will probably be hitting the weights a bit more, and coming into this fight more muscular than usual.

He may need to go a full 12, but I think Vitali may be increasing his power and strength for this monumental fight. I bet he aims to take Peter out and will be beefing up to do so.

i think 60% of vitaly will ko peter. he won't be as easy to rabbit punch as wlad was and even if peter gets thru with some hard shots it won't have the same effect. vitaly will hammer from the outside, then finish the job that mccline couldn't finish.

Vitaly as we know him would do that. But what this version of Vitaly is like - noone knows. I hope he comes back resembling his old self, but honestly he is old now and he hasn't boxed in four years. Gonna be difficult.

Vitali always keeps in shape so I doubt we'll ever see him fat or anything. If his reflexes are gone then obviously his weight really doesn't matter tho.
