Boxrec ratings don't mean **** :patsch He has to fight someone rated by the WBC. You want to tell us Bermane Stiverne (WTF????) Chauncy Welliver and Eric Molina (WHO???) are all better options than Liakhovich?

Actually Stiverne is a better fight than Lyakhovich....Welliver and Eric Molina (I agree who the f$$$ is that?) are worse fights

Good stay busy fight for Vitali, but for Sergei's sake I hope it doesn't happen. He's never, ever going to beat Vitali or even make a close fight in my opinion. Still, it's a title shot for him so if he wants it then it will probably happen :-(

Chef already explained why most of these fights are unrealistic, and now so did the guy with the awesome avatar.

Liakhovich is definitely a better fight than Ruiz or Toney at this point. Plus, Toney wouldn't even get sanctioned and Ruiz is retired

Lyakovich is a former champion. Vitali just fought his mandator, knockout in the first round!!!!!!! Vitali is fighting the best he can get into a ring.

Actually, Audley was a former European champion, having trashed the belt rather than face Dimitrenko, who would have KTFOed him in all likelihood.

Among available opponents only Boswell is better option but he is too old and unknown, at least Lyahovich has a name and former champion

I actually consider Boswell a very good contender (in today's division, that is) and would probably pick him h2h over Liakhovich.

It saddens me that a tough, heavy-handed American who's been on the scene for a long time might be considered the "less sexy" option as a HW title dance partner than a guy who peaked before our very eyes over four years ago and has accomplished nothing since.

Perhaps Vitali should fight some in the top ten, but they are all tied up, perhaps #9 or 10? Who's out there. Solis did not fight anyone to get title shot. Austin? Are you kidding?

Looks like this Eric Molina is a real world beater. You have to fear a man who has bested both Andrew and Anthony Greely.

In all seriousness, i hope Stiverne continues to develope.

thank you for proving me right :)

the funny thing is, the huggers like you are actually hating on vitali by suggesting this is a worthwhile fight.

maybe i rate vitali much much higher than you, i dunno, but noway is this meaningful.

someone has posted the top 15 of the wbc, there are more meaningful higher ranked fighters to face.

also, why do you write off someone who has been beaten by wlad? lyakhovic got knocked out by briggs, doesn't that disqualify him in your books?

stop hating man, accept it is shite(assuming vitali is true to his word RE retiring in 2 fights) and there are better legacy enhancing opponents out there for him.

    thompson
    dmitrenko

all ranked higher by both the wbc and boxing fans.

Actually it was quite the opposite. I wouldn't expect someone like you to understand. Now go run off and find another thread to embarrass yourself in. Better yet, log off and go learn something about boxing.
