Too risky, even for Vitali. TT needs to get to a mandatory position, but Goosen isn't getting him the necessary fights. Frustrating, but it may have to do with Thompson's injuries too.

Who else is there to fight, who is available, and willing?

Liak is a decent stay busy fight while Vitali waits for, well............Valuev, I guess.

Should he be in the top 15 of the WBC? The guy's had 3 fights in 4 1/2 years since the loss to Briggs.

As I remember, Audley was also ranked by the WBC. And by any objective standard, Audley was a more worthy title challenger than Lyakovich would be.

Like it or not if this happens Vitali will catch alot of flak for it.

lets be serious... Audley moved up on the WBA to make this fight. When I was told long before it was public......(when I told you guys on ESB and you all said I was full of ****).. Audley wasnt in the top 15.. I dont remember if he was even ranked... then before Haye announces... BOOM... audley was in top 15 or so

    Come on man

So now Vitali is at fault because they put the wolf on the list?
Vitali gets a lot of flack on here no mater who he fights... at least he is staying busy

Kevin Johnson was a nobody. Sosnowski was a nobody. Briggs had been shot 5 years at least. Do you deny this?

I rather see Vitali vs Dimitrenko, Mormeck, Boystov, or even Tarver before I'd like to see this one.

Laikovich is slow, somewhat chinny, and is there to be hit. Sure, he'd outlast Solis, but that COULDA been a decent fight had it not been for the leg.

I also think SL would only be in it for a paycheck rather than the opportunity, whereas Mormeck and Tarver are both been heard to say they want a Klitschko belt.

Dan Goossen in an article from almost 6 moths ago, on Tony Thomspon:

Goossen is doing a crappy job. Why isn't this guy promoting Tony more aggressively? Getting him an eliminator?

Well, nobody gave him any flak for fighting Solis.

If peeps gave him flak for fighting Johnson, they shouldn't have. KJ was a serious challenger, though he fought like a *****.

Sosnowski.....meh VK could have done better but at least Sosnowski had the EBU belt. Still not exactly a worthy challenger.

Briggs...well Vitali deserved criticism for that but in VK's defense the pretenders weren't getting in line to fight him.

Lyakovich has only 2 wins against lower-level opposition since consecutive losses v. Briggs and Valuev.

We have 2 of us that are on both teams, they use the same place for training camp...... I just dont see how this could play out. I could be wrong, but at this point I just dont see it heppening
