Almost all of the guys that fought Tyson had bigger hands as well yet we know what happened to them. :yep The real question is are those legs good enough to back up the punches.

The old, fat mw? Nope he wouldn´t. What has the guy ever done at hw? Beating an even older Holyfield? Getting cought at cheating? Beating Batchelder? Yeah, great.

I thought that when he fought the 7'1" Julius Long. He still managed it though.

That old fat MW would have clowned any of Vitlay's opponents. Vitlay fought tomato cans and hasbeens. Toney managed to hang with Rahman, Ruiz, Peter all of whom would have smashed Danny Williams and Corrie Sanders. Infact Rahman actually did once.

Yeah, he cheated against Ruiz, got outboxed by the crude Peter and Rahman built his career on a lucky punch. Great resume indeed :good Sorry but toney at hw is just a joke, I don´t get how this fight ever managed to get ranked inside the Top10.

He managed to get that high ranking by knocking out Holyfield in his first heavyweight fight.

Also, Rahman knocked Corrie Sanders out. Don't leave that out of his "lucky punch" resume, which was anything but.

I doubt Peter will land more than 50 punches. Williams and Sanders landed around 55 each in 8 rounds or so both are more athletic and have more skill than Peter. Johnson didn't land **** because he got his ass knocked out in 2 rounds.

Peter is flat footed and a plodding target and like you said with a 6'8" fighter with a lean back style Vitali is very hard to hit. Only Lennox was able to hit him and he was 6'5".

You need height and speed to beat Vitali and Peter has neither.

The head may move but the body doesn't. And Vitlay's body will be a prime target for Sammy's right hand.

:-( Rahman was a good hw but he was even below guys like Byrd or Ruiz. He never was anything special. Beating Rahman is like beating Hide.
And yeah beating an old has been in Holyfiel is a huge achievement. :nut
Be more objective. Nobody on Peter´s resume was ever anything special, it´s not much different with Vitali but Vitali managed to fight on even terms with Lennox before the cut stoppage. Peter was outclassed by Wlad.
I won´t make any prediction because I don´t know how rusty Vitali is but if he isn´t too rusty and in good shape I can´t see Peter winning.

good lord who in the hell has Peter been fighting? Look at his resume post Wlad. 2 KO's in 6 fights against very questionable Glass Jawed or out of shape competition. When Oleg Maskaev is your best win and KO victim your resume is garbage.

Its impossible to say that when he has such a poor ledger though, isnt it?

What we do know is he lost to the two best fighters he fought, who had completely different styles.

No, beating Rahman is certainly better than beating Herbie Hide. You are on crack with that statement. When was Hide ever a world champion? When was he ever the number one heavyweight in the world? Answer: Never. So there you go.

And I wouldn't call being grabbed 96 times over 12 rounds outclassed, especially when he still managed to drop Waldo 3 times!

No. Byrd had good handspeed but we all know the real story on how that fight was going. Lennox had height and used it well. Peter does have decent handspeed the first 2 rounds but then it is gone.

If you look at the skill set of the two fighters the gap is huge. Peter has already been shown to have overrated power and his Chin can't take hooks or uppercuts.

Peter is too slow, short, flat footed and plodding. Not to mention he WILL NOT be able to land his money punch to the back of the head.

Those are the only 3 rounds Peter won in the whole fight. Vitali has an Iron Chin. If Peter could not beat Glass Jaw Wlad how is he going to beat Vitali?
