those were voluntary defenses, but all the same, bad picks, because they did nothing to earn their shot

but who is Vitali supposed to fight? and please don't say Haye

What ever the distance between Wlad and old Vitali now, he's still number 2. Who else could claim that spot?

    Since the start of 2010:

It would take a pretty extreme knee jerk reaction to put Haye ahead of Vitali based only on his win over Chisora

I don't know, and to be honest i'm not that fussed - Vitali isn't the champ and he's just happy to be making his retirement fund fighting bums. But still, there's no way that Briggs, Sosnowski and Charrr were the best possible fighters available for him to fight? They're like the underclass of bums.

Vitali is as shot as JFK, hence his run of fights against old men and no marks who were almost guaranteed not to pose him much of a problem.

Ruiz, Barrett, Harrison, Valuev, Wlad > Briggs, Sosnowski, Solis, Adamek, Charrr

Povetkin is the current number 2 boxer on form and recent cv.

So? I'm talking about level of competition - you know, the quality of opponents you face.

Vitali has fought no one near the level of Wlad for nearly 10 years, and when he did he was brutally stopped after having his face torn apart. Instead he's done nothing but fight fat journeymen for his retirement fund.

Lewis is an ATG top six period.

Haye fought Audley Harrison a disgrace for boxing.
