I love how some people maintain that Lewis was underprepared for the fight when in fact it was Vitali that got a phone call 38 hours prior to the fight, while he was on the beach drinking mojitos, asking if he wanting to challenge Lewis for the HW title.
Vitali put on a great show despite being jet-lagged with a nagging hangover.

I don't know where this whole Vitaly wasnt training came from? He was training for a fight on the same night on the undercard, On that note i don't buy the whole Lewis wasn't in shape either he was what like 5 pounds over tyson, when you are 6'5 well built that isn't a lot of weight if he came in 270 people would have room to talk but not what 5 pounds? Was he in his best shape ever? No but he wasn't out of shape.

That's **** all, I have it on good authority that Lewis was smoking ganja in his dressing room before the fight. I believe he walked out to a Bob Marley song which means the above has to be fact. I was also told Emmanuel Steward sneaked a whetstone into camp to sharpen up Lewis's dreads and beard in the weeks leading up to the fight.

What a cheating **** - he also obviously failed the post fight drugs test but bribed the authorities to keep their trap shut, claiming that it wouldn't tarnish the result seeing as he'd lost the event anyway.

To be fair, Klitschko's corner should've noticed something was wrong when Steward used Lennox's beard to cut the tape he was using on his hands.

And Lennox owes his retirement to Vitali.

    Funny how things work.

Lennox was 37 years old and was in great shape. Get over it.

And for those of us that actually watched the fight?

Seriously, that was not a Lewis that was in 'great shape', far from it. It's a waste of time trying to point that out to you though.

It doesn't matter anyway, Lewis TKO6 :smoke

You still talk about this fight much more than I do. So obviously you don't feel comfortable with the win. Lewis was in great shape. In fact it was Lewis' great conditioning that allowed him to survive the second round and recover afterward.

Vittali had already been world champ when he fought Lewis,it was not as though he was an unknown going into the Lewis fight. It helped his career but he dont owe everything to that one fight.

I feel extremely comfortable about the win thanks....it's only Klit-ites like yourself that try to tarnish it, I certainly don't. It was a great win considering Lewis condition but I don't even have that win in the top 5 of Lewis career victories, it's only mugs like you that consider Lewis beating VITLAY as being something special.

Personally I rate his performances against Ruddock, Holy (1st fight) Golota, Tua and Bruno higher than beating up on VITLAY. Hell even his beating of Gary Mason was more impressive if you ask me.

Ive sat & read all through this thread & am amazed at what Klitschko fans are saying.

Name me any other world champion that agreed to defend his title against his #1 contender on a few days notice. You cannot there isnt one . Lennox had the balls to take on his #1 contender after he'd semi trained for just a warm up bout against Johnson.
Klitschko did well first few rounds and was leading but Lewis was landing the serious shots one look at Klitschko's face proves that. After that devastating uppercut from Lewis that had Klit hanging on like a leech. The fight was over Lewis won the fight .
    Now to the proposed rematch.......
Vitaly ought to thank Lennox for retiring, because had there beena rematch & Lewis trained for it he would have demolished Klitschko & Klit would not have had the big$$$$$$$ earning fights he;s had since
