Globalisation and sheer luck. Nobody ever expected two Belgian girls to quasi dominate tennis for a good couple of years, especially with the Williams sisters and all those long legged Russian ladies around, but they did.
It'll be just a matter of time before an American HW reaches the highest level...how much time is tough to say. But when he does, he'll be the hero again.

Ok let's pretend the 1990's never happened and that 46 year old George Foreman wasn't champion :good And sorry, but you forgot to mention Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko in your reference to this century

yeah i also know some big and talented guys who instead of pursuing boxing they work for the army or police assault teams

When you have 30 times more HW's in the division then Ukraine and yet you can't come up with at least one competitive boxer at the top level, it does not mean that you're interested in other sports, it means that your talent pool sucks.

That's the stupidest joke of an excuse i heard in a while; if USA with 400 HW's is interested in other sports then what do you make out of Ukraine who has only 15 HW or Russia who has only 20?

Not to mention those East european countries don't have anywhere near the infrastructure and number of boxing gyms that USA has, some of those boys have to travel daily 50 miles on foot to the nearest gym, yet they manage to do it, meanwhile the *****-ass americans just prefer to watch Oprah while they stuff their fat faces with cake and pie and then make up excuses.

Joe Frazier had a shitty shoulder press, and physically wasn't very strong nor very fast or big, yet he made it; ALi wasn't physically very strong either, Foreman was slow as **** and had next to no stamina, clearly some great assets for football these fellas where.

American promoters and televisions blatantly duck and keep away their american and mexican frauds from guys like Bute, Pirog, Golovkin, Proska, so that ******s like MichiganWarrior can come around here and say how much awesome and superior american fighters are.

No matter how unpopular boxing may be in US, it's still more popular and it's much better developed then in eastern europe, it's just your shitty talent pool that can't compete or rarely does with eastern euros. :hi:

Yes sometimes i think the same. Wlad gets very much hate, from some Vitali Fans too, just because he is so close with Emanuel Steward.

The football and basketball thing is as racist as it gets. Americans have been dominated in boxing since the curtain was dropped. Has nothing to do with the NBA or NFL. The NBA MVP is a German.

exactly - brothers. when in heavyweight history have a pair of siblings been able to own the heavyweight division. never. the competition is so low for this to happen its ridiculous.

Granted I think Vitali would be able to keep a title for 4 or 5 years in another era, but Wlad would stand no chance.

You can argue they would lose but this is ridiculous.

That is a bit of hyperbole, there are a shitload of knee grows and probably kraaker fighters that could dominate Chisora. Pull Sam Peter or James Toney out of the rest home, either would give Chisora a boxing lesson.
