The reason they don't give a **** about boxing is because the black community has no heayweight fighters to rally behind, simple as.

Like it or not it's a tribal sport and community's support their own.

It has nothing to do with the strength of the era, Heavyweight has had very few strong era's. The Klit's are just dominant atm.

The idea that there are hundreds of great fighters playing basketball and football, is way off base. Fighting works off of different attributes than running around a field/court chasing a ball.

How many former champions would have been great footballers/basketballers? None, maybe?

 

A dominant American heavyweight would be ultra world famous.

African American's are not capable of producing one at this moment in time.
