Like Sam broke Fat Toney's neck (he had 2 tries), or like he broke Jameel McClines neck? What about Maskaev, who he took over half the fight to finally start landing behind the head punches and TKO. He couldn't even put the guy down for god's sake. :patsch

I think he sees Vitali and the whole situation with having already been beaten by the smaller bother as very intimidating, and the nervousness may cause him to be tense and run out of stamina, real quick.

Course this is all speculation. Maybe he's calm and has his composure, but it don't look like it from that recent episode.

Maybe the only people who are truly clueless and can not understand are not the fighter(s) but are the Fans who take prefight antics at face value time and time again each fight. It's like the same thing happens and has continued to happen for close to a century now thousands of times and people actually still don't get it. Thats amazing...

Yep. He couldn't do anything to the one who fights scared. What's he gonna do with the one who fights pissed?

He knows he isn't a knockout artist...he thinks he's fooling everyone.

I think Brewster hits harder and has way better knockout skills than this guy.

Would you rather him keep punching after the ref stopped the fight in order to put Mask away???

Like it or not, VK was given the "Champion Emeritus" distinction and is therefore afforded this oppurtunity. It's quite clear that Sam Peter does not like it.

BTW, I like and respect Sam Peter just fine. I don't hate him by any means. I do think that he is wildly overrated, but that is no fault of his own.

I totally agree. I like Sam. It's the people propping him up as "HW savior" that get old.

That's usually what happens with overhyped people. They're not so bad, often times, its their fans and the fawning writers that drive everyone nuts.

Yes Peter did have to defend over sea's against Klitschko because his team lost the purse bids Peter wanted the fight in Nigeria but after the bids for the fight he had to defend his title in Germany or be stripped of his title and Sam Peter has done nothing in his career that makes him any more deserving for this fight than Klitschko. Sam Peter has behave totally disrespectful towards Klitschko as well. He has been going round saying stuff like I am gonna KO this giant then his brother. If I was as tall as Klitschko and someone went around brandishing me a giant I would find that disrespectful. If Sam Peter has haters it is because he comes across as being very argent for someone with as little skill as him.

The only reason these people are backing Peter is because they are the ones that said he was going to KO Wlad in 2 rounds or some such and they can't jump off the bandwagon. Peter was supposed to put Wlad away for good and a KO loss at that time to Peter *might* have done just that but Peter instead lost every round but 3 in the fight. Heck I remmeber these idiots saying there was no way team Klitschko would even take the fight. Peter was exposed as being one dimesional and having no plan B in the Wlad fight and nothing has changed since except they brought in Don King's slave trainer McKinley.

I have a feeling that Saturday there will be nothing left for the Peter fans to hang onto.

You said break his neck. He didn't even hurt Toney or McCline and barely hurt the scared Wlad by hitting him behind the head.

He ain't breaking anyone's neck except tomato cans.

He is the champion , and had to wait a very long time for it...

He faced standby opposition after preparing for a championship chance against McCline a completely different fighter than Maskaev... and still got off the floor to win .... Champions do those kinds of things... Over rated??

I heard about Ali..??? Tyson ?? on ESB being over rated....

What are you rating him in comparrison to ?

He like most champions keep winning...

    Wlad has been Kayo'd
    Vitali has been stoped
    Haye has been Ko'd
Sultan has been on the floor against Ahunanya Lyachovich has been Ko'd
    Briggs has been Ko'd
    Tyson has been Ko'd

For gods sake Sammy has only been dropped in 1 fight.. and he is over rated.

Rico, Iceferg -- Great posts, and I totally agree.

Peter has been super disrespectful of Vitali, and the Peter Peeps (very often the same people as the anti-Klits) still are praying for Sam to help give them some hope. It's been 4+ long years for the anti-Klits since Brewster and Lewis last beat the brothers.
