Of all the fights that have occurred in the history of boxing this is the one that should have had a rematch.
The Peter fight showed dedicated this man is.
I think Lewis knew he was lucky that night....

Plenty of fighters have lost by KO/TKO when in front on the cards.

    Jermain Taylor 59-54, 58-55, 58-55 over Pavlik - I had it 58-55 as well
    Herol Graham 30-26, 30-27, 30-27 over Jackson - I had it 30-25!

    And many more.....

Including Lennox Lewis, Wladimir Klitschko and Vitali (against Byrd).

And this equals "winning the event?" I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall in that dressing room.

So Henry Cooper beat Cassius Clay, his cuts didn't count, and he dropped clay a round prior..........

So we just say , the cuts stoppages are nullified from now on......

So why did Cooper not get his shot at Liston...

Vitali was getting caught by everything as the rounds wore on, and his face was split 5 ways...... Lewis should have said, glue his face for a couple more rounds until i get ahead on points enough for me to shut your mouths up..

Vitali was saved a Ko by his own slashed face...

Lennox wouldn't risk a rematch - HISTORY - thats why the outcome between these two was never clear. It wasn't a TKO as in 'starched', it was a CUT!! A rematch WAS required. Lennox and his followers did not want a rematch for very sound reasons, they might not get lucky again!

Well yes but WALDO wasn't cut, his claim was something to do with being suffocated due to vaseline wasn't it? This clown seems to be suggesting that VITLAYS own cornermen were putting iron filings into his grease :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

I might make that into a Klitschko fan quote of the week later on, I need to know that he actually means what he says first though - there's got to be a strong chance he's taking the ****.

Yes Cooper legitimately KO'd Clay, I'll give you that one. They used to do the 10 count in binary back in 1963 :nut

you can not beat someone on points unless you compleate 12 rounds, i think vitali (as much as i like him), is in total denial over this loss and really he needs to give the **** up and have some decency.
