Classy dude, probably would of gave some past greats a run for their money, its a shame he never got the chance to other than fighting Lewis. Props :good

He's already fighting more against time than opponents. Hopefully he doesn't stretch it too far.

    Interesting conundrum:

Most people seem to consider Vitali a better fighter than Wlad, yet-

If Vitali retired RIGHT NOW, I doubt anyone would consider him an ATG. Whereas, Wlad still has a chance to (barely) reach that status, assuming he fights a healthy Helenius, Price, and maybe 1-2 of the young lions, before he retires himself.

Vitali must think about this every day. He must surely want one more high-profile fight before it's over.

No. But Haye would only help Vitali's underwhelming resume. His best win to date is Sam Peter and he has refused to fight the champion for the past four years, so beating the clear #3 heavyweight would help his legacy, if only slightly.

  8. lol he absolutely is. Hayes a **** but don't overlook his accomplishments. Unified Cruiserweight champ, Heavyweight belt holder. Unbeaten at Heavyweight except to Wlad. Audley fight was just money and hype and the stupid British public wanted to see it. Don't blame him for that one bit.

I don't see any reason Vitali should worry about fighting Haye.

The biggest fight out there is obviously Povetkin.. who is holding the only belt they don't have locked up...the WBA paper title.

    1. Povetkin is the toughest opponent out there.

    2. Povetkin would be a big draw against Vitali in Eastern Europe

    3. Povetkin scalp is much more valuable on a resume than Haye

    4. Povetkin is easily the #3 fighter at the world level.

On Povetkin's side, it makes sense because:

    1. WBC title = bigger pay day than any other option

    2. Vitali is certainly slowing down, could be beatable...maybe...

    3. Win over Vitali would do amazing things for Povetkin legacy

    4. Win over Vitali locks up super fight with Wlad (although Pov has been ducking this for years)

With options like that out there, there is no reason to be talking to David Haye...who may not get past Chisora to begin with.

Vitali should be talking to Povetkin.

just because he was a mandatory, doesn't mean he's any good, besides, the WBA's rankings are a joke

Regardless clearly Haye can't say he's achieved more in the sport than Hide, Peter, Gomez, Adamek, Solis and Sanders. Curious to see your reasons as to why a win over Haye means more than any of the above.

    this :good

Hide - 2 time world champion
    Peter- WBC champion
    Adamek- LWH and CW champion
Sanders- HW champion, KO'd Wlad in brutal fashion and was the last man to hurt Vitali

Solis is a joke for eating away his potential

Surely you are not speaking of David Haye....

Nobody outside of the UK considers Chisora in the Top 10 and Haye isn't rated on any list, even the British list!

****, even the British list has Tyson ****ing Fury rated over Chisora!
