Has anyone else felt this way that Vitali should have been the man of this era instead of Wlad?

I've always felt he was the better of the two by far when it came to just who's the better fighter, Vitali beats Wlad 10 times out of 10, he's always been cleaning up Wlad's mess.

Unfortunately, he didn't have the same chance to establish the career that Wlad has and will not go down as anywhere as great as his little brother. Vitali made way for him and Wlad should be thankful for him for that :good

But not only in terms of who's the better fighter, Vitali was actually exciting, yeah some of his fights were more boring simply because of how dominant they were but he wasn't afraid to take a shot, look at Vitali vs Lewis fight.. Would Wlad ever be capable of that? (Just to fight toe to toe with a fighter as great as Lennox) Hell no.

    I have always favoured Vitali.

    It's actually not close

If he wasn't plagued by the injury from 2004 onwards, he would be the best HW. Wlad would have taken a big backseat to his big bro.

Vitali- A little robotic but he throws punches, wants to hurt you, throws caution to the wind, fights like a man, and just looks damn evil in there :nod

Wlad is a caution first fighter and doesn't throw punches, only fights from the outside. :-(

Vitali is a far superior fighter to Wlad.
Had he gone straight into boxing and not been injured kick boxing, he would have achieved far more.

Vitali would not have had a problem with Fury.

I think Wladimir was the better boxer out of the brothers, it's just that Vitali was more of a fighter. He was more durable so was able to take risks and he had more courage aswell, but boxing wise, I think Wladimir was the better boxer, with Vitali having the better mentality. If Wladimir had Vitali's chin and mentality he would of been a very dangerous boxer.. He would of been knocking everyone out cold.

Wlad did so well for so long for a reason. Vitali is tough, a little more active. But Wlad at his best is the more technically sound fighter, hits quite a bit harder as well. Safe to say that Vitalis style aged better than Wlads did though. I think 40-41 year old Vitali beats Fury down.

yeh he would though, an old vitali like the one who couldnt completely shutout chisora would not beat Fury.

Wladimir is the better fighter. He would execute Lewis gameplan even better than what lennox did against Vitali.

Vitali was always better. Tougher, able to use angles, threw a wider variety of punches. Wlad just looked more orthadox, and some people confused that for being more skillful.

He might come back yet, champion emeritus and he only has to say the word.

I agree with this. Wlad has a better 1-2, arguably better footwork but all in all, Vitali has more facets to his game, he's a far more complete fighter of the two.

Spot on. Wlad looked more fluid and hit harder, and was more technical. But Vitali was the superior athlete and fighter overall. He's bigger (would have really come in handy against Fury), much better chin, much better stamina, workrate and ****nal, and better reflexes. That all equals a superior athlete overall. He just looked much more awkward than Wlad so people thought Wlad was more athletic.
