Another podgy cumbersome heavyweight who is just going to walk into a Klitschko jab all night.

Then again, it seems that's the only type of fighter the Klitschko's fight these days.

If only there was an in-shape heavyweight they could fight. Someone with a bit of athleticism, who moves around the ring, who doesn't walk forward in straight lines, some one who has decent speed and power about them.

If only there was a heavyweight like that....then maybe we wouldn't have to see the fat guys like Chisora and Solis get bludgeoned by a stiff jab all night.

    If only...

Indeed he did. Solis stopped Haye in the 3rd round of their World Championship fight.

If there only would be a heavyweight with those attributes who also can take a punch, has good stamina and proper a defense.. Maybe he wouldn't have to wear oxygen mask after his trainer throws in the towel after getting those nasty jabs.. Maybe..

    Byrd, Byrd?
Byrd never stopped Vitali Klitschko. he was no near to do so. Vitali pulled out him self beacause of an injury. Even though it was the worst quit ever and most stupid thing to do, Byrd never stopped him.
    So learn your history man!

Good for Vitali to fight a fighter who stopped Haye! Perhaps this will be a way to get Haye to fight him? I doubt it. Haye has already broken two contracts with Klitschkos already!

If Solis dropped dozens of pounds and actually wanted to box, he might be better than Haye, but currently, he's not. Allow me to demonstrate:

i know that people dont respect solis because of him being overweight. i am a big solis fan, and a huge haye fan. and him knocking out haye made me respect solis years ago. to defend solis he didnt get in shape because he didnt need to. he is 17-0. and a former olympic gold medalist. beating opposition like felix pavon, sultan ibramigov, and david haye...dont underestimate solis. anything can happen in this fight. my prediction...vitali by ud

I don't personally not respect Solis. He's making a living the way he knows how and I know at his best he's excellent, though I haven't seen the pro Solis at his best yet. But I can't respect his conditioning, because he clearly doesn't. And a man doesn't know when he'll need to be in shape for certain until it's already too late. That's part of the game. You never know when somebody's going to unexpectedly drag you into deep water. Barrett/Tua, for instance. What if he'd been in trouble against Ray Austin? He is lucky he made it to this point the way he's been showing up in many of these fights.

Solis has talent to spare, but is wasting it due to his poor shape.

He's still completely set in that "I don't need to be ripped, I'm doing fine" mindset that's cursed too many heavyweights in recent years.

People can put up the Haye vs Solis amateur bout all they like, it mainly shows two glaring things - that it was now almost 10 years ago, and that that Solis was about half the size of the current one.

Jab, jab, right, jab vs plod plod counter plod plod. I can only hope Vitali lowers the boom earlier than usual but I'm not in the slightest bit jazzed for this one.

Think it could be the ******* child of the Vitali-Johnson fight.

I expect Solis to put up a decent showing, but that's it!
From what I understand he actually despices boxing, but only does it for the money. Shame he doesn't turn up in shape for it.

I actually think a determined Solis could actually be the K brothers' successor, but he just doesn't have the right mindset.
