Not every HW needs to step into the ring looking like a bodybuilder. Boxers do not need that type of physique. In fact, it can be a detriment. Solis just needs to fight at a weight where he is comfortable. The guy has not had stamina issues related to weight as far s I can remember. The same is true for Arreola. When weight affects your stamina then it is an issue.

Weight always, always, always affects your stamina and performance.

Get any pro athlete to do a hard training session or workout. Time him, measure him, use GPS, whatever.

then strap 40 pounds of dead weight to him, and get him to do the same again. you think he's going to perform as well in all aspects?

Valuev was beating everyones ass on just size alone.

Now he's not fighting because of his injury.

But to be fair, that was only because he was afraid to use any of his skill or power due to the possibility that he could of killed every single one of his opponents.

Haha ok I'll give you SNV the p4p GOAT, but still the Klitschkos aren't only tall, that's not giving them proper credit.

Guys who are overly muscular as boxers tend to tire more easily than guys who are not. I am not saying fighters should come into the ring morbidly obese but, there are advantages to bring some extra weight into a fight. This is true at all weight classes, extra weight helps a fighters in many aspects balance, punching power, fighting from the grasp, clinching and chin.

It can adversely effect your movement and stamina if it is excessive. Solis does not rely on movement and I havent seen any issues with his stamina. So IMO Solis needs to keep on some extra weight and not try and lose to much as this would take him out of his comfort zone as a boxer.

its too much size difference for Solis to overcome... and VK is the best HW in this decade.
Hope Solis wins, but i dont see how.

Why does every thread where Solis is mentioned have to turn into an amateur comedy hour? It's been old.

Solis is fortunate and smart to be taking this fight because at his weight
and lack of training and discipline he'd just get beaten by a lesser heavy
and not be making 1.8 million for his last fight. He's big vit's next meal.

This ppl are talking about VK like he is in the same league as Ali, Tyson, Foreman, Holmes, etc.. I just going to mention a couples of guys that would had mop the floor with the K's Brothers, Greg Page, Tim Whiterspoon, Ken Norton, Ron Lyle, Ernie Shavers and those are not the best of the best, WK is a very beatable HW and has been prove and VK has only fought a very good HW, well in this case a great HW in LL but he was on his way out, still he sent VK to the plastic surgeon, I know OS is not in good shape I only wish he could b for his fight against VK, he has the potential to beat any HW today.

Solis stopped Haye in the amateurs. Vitali will knock Solis out!!!!!!! Austin had not problem landing punches on Solis, so this fight will be easy for Vitali, no doubt.
