He beat Ruiz using steroids so the fight got changed to a NC, trying to rewrite history? He never beat Rahman either. He did, however, get a gift decision against Oquendo, plus got schooled by Sam Peter, why don't you mention that? :yep

Toney is about as credible as Sosnowski.

Vitali is fighting a bum. You are all nuthuggers, crying that he could not get a better opponent in the ring. Well, you only believe that.

Defending this Polish fighter. The guy has never fought anybody. He is European Class and also got alredy KOD. He did not even fight somebody like Oquendo, nobody did he fight, yet you keep defending, this is all ridicoulous. I would pick Oquendo to win.

This is not about Toney. Vitali is fighting a bum in a stay busy fight. It is what it is.The ignorant German will watch it, be happy, end of night. Another farce in boxing, great.

Point is Vitali could have fought a more credible opponent but you all come up with excuses. This guy is fat, that guy was exposed, the other guy caused negotuiations to fail, well whatever.

Nobody is disputing that Sosnowski is not a world class fighter.

You however fail to prove how there was any BETTER opposition willing to climb in the ring with Vitali in May - the only available date by his German TV station RTL before the football world cup takes over the summer dates in Europe.

Vitali had the choice between Sosnowski and canceling the fight date. Given that he is closing in on his 40th birthday I think it's fair to say one shouldn't blame him for trying to stay active before finally retiring.

Like I said Tony Thompson, James Toney, Solis, Adamek (prior Arreola)would have been better matchups.

Solis wasn't interested due to HBO, Adamek wasn't interested (busy), Toney is a nobody, Thompson would be hard to sell in Germany after he lost to Wlad.

Sosnowski is unknown but he will bring 10,000 or so Polish fans to the stadium. Between all available fighters he may well have been one of the better choices.

Adamek would have been much better of course but do you honestly believe Vitali is dodging anyone? If Adamek was available for May Vitali would have taken him on -- it would have been a huge fight e.g. in the Berlin Olympiastadium.

Thompson is not hard to sell. If they can sell the Polish fighter, they can sell everything to these dumb Germans. They liked Holy-Valuev, they would like Toney-Vitali as well, does not matter.

Adamek , Solis were available I think.

Adamek was tied up with both Estrada and Arreola.Wouldnt be smart to jump right into deep water against Vit.Im sure MOST rational people are aware of this.

Valuev-once again does not want none...besides that does it make all that much sense afte losing his title and comming off of a loss.Vitali would catch **** for it no question.

    Solis-yeah maybe.

    Toney-stop kidding yourself.

Seriously, what's wrong with you? A random boring American with no charisma whatsoever, who was already knocked out by Wlad would sell better in Germany than a Pole? Ridiculous. And it's very disputable that Thompson at age 38 is better than Sosnowski.

All there needs to be said about Toney was already said. Please don't mention his name anymore.

Solis was already covered and what is so hard to understand about that Adamek was NOT AVAILABLE ffs? The fight against Sosnowski was signed in March, Adamek's fight against Arreola was in late April, how the **** was he available for a date just a month later, when it was very much unsure if he could even get past Arreola?

A US based fighter like Thompson can't help sell out a 50,000 seat stadium. A polish nobody can. Sosnowski came with a Polish marketing company that guarateed to take 10,000 tickets off the bat. Thompson/Toney etc. coudln't do that.

Solis has been discussed here. I posted an internet with Bob Arum on why Solis declined Vitalis offer (they couldn't get a May date with HBO).

Adamek declined, he said it in an interview. He had a contract with HBO to fight Arreola.

Seriously THE BLADE 2, it's OK to criticize Vitali, it's OK to repeat Sosnowski is far form a world class challenger for the WBC belt, too. In fact I agree. I bet few here disagree.

But you continuously claim Vitali had numerous other options without backing up your claims with any facts. Next time post some interviews/articles/verifiable facts that back up your claims instead of repeating your personal opinion ("XZY was available.. I think!!").

Even though Sosnowski doesn't have much of a chance, I'm still looking forward to this fight. I hope the fight will have a KO in the early or mid rounds.
