I think Chambers is definetely a much better opponent value wise than Sosnowski. He is in his 20's, was never stopped and his wins over Peter, Brocke, and Dimitrenko are far better than anything that Sosnowski has done recently, or ever for that matter. Albert lost to Zuri Lawrence and drew with Pianeta.. He can't possibly be rated anywhere close to Chambers.
Yes, but losing to Zuri Lawrence and having a win over a shot Danny Williams, is the only thing that Sosnowski has done recently.. Being 20-0, in your prime, and at least having size that narrows some of the gap helps... I don't see any value in facing Sosnowski at all.. At least he'd be taking a chance on a young prospect had he fought Pianeta.
I wouldn't go that far. Peter was a top 5 oppenent at the time, and he did fight Povetkin who was also a top 10 guy as well. Chambers is a skilled boxer, Sosnowski is not. Chambers has fought top competition, Sosnowski has not. Chambers is a top 5 guy, Sosnowski is not even top 15. I agree, neither oppenent has a shot in hell of winning. I still believe Chambers is the way better oppenent.
You have right. However I have to defend my boy Adamek. First Wlad offered him a fight when Haye left him. Adamek had scheduled fight and was a CW fighter then with no HW experience, so he refused it and said: the same time next year. Now when he has scheduled fight with Arreola, Vitali offered him fight. He refused it, because he is fighting with Arreola on HBO. If Adamek wins over Arreola (which is probably easier than winning over Vitali), he will fight for HBO and will gain much more money than 1M$ for fighting either Wlad, Vitali or Haye .
the same Lawrence who beat Vidoz who lost to Sosnowski .... also the same Lawrence who beat McCline and scored draw to Austin ... Austin who scored draw with Larry Donald who beat almost prime Holyfield one fight earlier .... so whats your point?
The same Lawrence who has NEVER knocked anyone out, but had Sosnowski on ***** street. Who was KOed by shot Hasim Rahman and lost to non-prospect Darrell Madison in his previous two fights, and got knocked out by Jason Estrada in his next fight. Granted, Zuri's not a bad boxer. If he had any power or any chin, he'd be decent. But he doesn't have either one, and he still easily outboxed Sosnowski. It will be disappointing if this fight lasts longer than 4 rounds.
Zuri Lawrence was 38 years old and won only 5 his previous 13 fights when he entered the ring with Sosnowski and BEAT him... Frankly, I think you're going to incredible lengths to try and polish a piece of ****.
Yep, being undefeated as prospect means nothing, 20-0 in prime fighting weak competition is just slightly better than 20-2 after stepping up a bit more and loosing. At some point Sosmowski was 40-1 which was pretty much more than 20-0-1. Then finally Sosnsowski stepped up and lost to Lawrence, then he stepped up again and beat Willims and Vidoz. So at this time Pianeta is somewhere around the times when Sosnowski was fighting Lawrence. Pianeta needs to beat at least one more credible opponent before he ever start wondering about his own tittle shot.
Pianeta isn't getting a title shot unless he can force himself into mandatory position. He has no fan base, and he's boring as all hell to watch.
I don't see how you can rank Sosnowski any higher than Pianeta when they drew together and Pianeta has the added benefit of never having lost.. Sure, Sosnowski has more fights and more experience, but you're claiming that facing a losing journeyman in Lawrence and a shot Danny Williams is a " step up?"
now you try to do some reasoning and logic, so if we follow the polishing track, Sosnowski beat Danny Williams and Vidoz after his lose to Lawrence, two credible European opponents and scored EBU title which is somewhere near the NABA ... nothing special at all. I agree that fighting Harrison next would be more proper and getting title shot at WBC title is just a lucky shot but he is much closer to this golden opportunity than his a few year back lose to Lawrence indicates (Lawrence was proved to at leas score lucky wins over other credible opponents in the past)
