people pay too much attention to Lawrence lose ... sure lose is lose but
the man has record 45-2-1 ....its not like he is complete bum or journeyman.
He beat Williams and Vidoz most recently and if he didn't lose to Lawrence he
would be 46-1-1 and at the level of Valuev ... which is not that bad at all

I think people need some perspective, Sosnowski is not world beater, he is not
ATG or HOF'er, he maybe is not even in top 10 of the contenders but he
finally stepped up, won the fights he supposed to win long time ago and got
    proper recognition for that.

Now we will finally see how he is comparing to other 'top' contenders
as Arreola, Chambers, Austin, Brock, etc., etc.

The fact is, Sosnowski has steadilly improved. You can see this when you compare his early fights to now. This is also reflected in his recent accomplishments. No, he's not a world beater and will likely be over matched by Vitali. But it eats me up when some guy who's likely never put on boxing gloves says an EBU champ, top 25 guy in the world, can't fight. Do you realize how many boxers who can indeed fight, are ranked lower than Sosnowski? Have some respect.

Maybe in this case, but that argument does NOT hold up in general. Of COURSE we have to judge boxers based on who they lost to. That's how sports work! Maybe these early-career losses, but still...

I agree. Every fight matters. However, when somebody's whole opinion on a fighter is based only on 1 fight, then it isnt fair. Its just stupid.

this is just another example of how "the man" is keeping A-Force down.

Its not stupid when that " one fight " happens to be very close to receiving a title shot and it comes against a very low end journeyman. Had Sosnowski lost to Lawrence in his first 20 fights, THEN repaired his credentials over time, then I wouldn't be making an issue out of it.... But, at the age of 30 and with nearly 50 bouts, to lose to a guy like Lawrence does not bode well as a campaigning tool.

I guess his former (before Lawrence) and more recent (after Lawrence)
wins were boding well enough so he got his title shot offer ........
somethings which Pianeta cannot bode with his impressive win over Orlov.

That is really the final nail to A-Force's hopes for conquering HW division at the age of 38.

    I'm going to simplify this...

Since these two men fought back in April of 2009, Albert Sosnowski has fought only once, beating Paolo Vidoz..... Francesco Pianeta has fought twice in the same time frame, and one of those wins was over Matt Skelton who DEFEATED the very SAME Paolo Vidoz that you are crediting Sosnowski for beating.... When these two men faced each other back in the spring of last year, the outcome was a draw, despite one man having far fewer fights... That man, has since done a tad more than the other said fighter. Pianeta is ranked about 3-4 places higher than Sosnowski is. He is about 6-7 years younger, has never lost and stands 6'5", weighs 240 lbs, which is a lot closer to Vitali's size than Sosnowski who is 6'2", 228... Frankly, I think that if we put it all together and looked at the WHOLE picture, and not just one part of it, it's a no brainer in terms of who's more qualified.

If you've actually watched them fight, then it's a no brainer that neither of them is remotely qualified to fight Vitali.

And what's all this about Vidoz anyway? He was a Euro-level fighter at his peak, and now he's totally shot.

There are lots of top heavyweights that have lost fights to bum opposition. Just look at Maskaev. The important thing is that Sosnowski has improved and hopefully he will want to show the world his balls, unlike most other clowns who faced Vitali who were unwilling to fight.

    1. I am well aware that neither of these men are worthy of any kind of title shot.

    2. I'm not the one who is trying to build up Vidoz... That other guy stinckygloves, or whatever the **** his name is.... He's also trying to make out like holding the EBU title is more prestigous than being the pope.

Btw in case u didnt know , sosnowski spent last 3 days before Pianeta fight in the hospital, he was sick ,despite that he managed to get a draw on German ground. So u tell me if That Francesca guy is more deserving to get the shot.
