Albert Sosnowski? the guy who lost a decision to Zuri Lawrence last year?......:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl......WOW this is a fight we were all waiting for.....
I think you didn't put enough stress on the word "former", which properly describes most of Toney's achievements. For example the win over Holyfield (without splitting hair how shot was Holy at that time) was in 2003. The fight with Ruiz where Toney looked good was in 2005. Otherwise, Rahman was shot when he met Toney in 2008 (as evidenced by his other fights around this time), Oquendo was never that good to start with and he relied on rabit punches and fighting dirty way too much (luckily for Toney it was the only fight Oquendo was punished by point deduction - otherwise it would be a draw). Outboxing Sam Peter? He did it In the first fight, but why not discuss more recent rematch when it was Toney who got outboxed by one of the less skilled heavyweights.
Maybe he has, but his chance is almost non existend also! I loved Toney in the early to mid 90's, but come on... Let's see the fight for what it is, an easy 'stay busy' for Vitali, who wanted Haye or Valuev but got stuck with a lot lesser options. And he can do a lot worse than Sosnowski imo
Stay busy fight for Vitali, pocket some $$$, get another "W." Keep on waiting for Haye if Vitali can get him in the ring.
This is an awful fight. Sosnowski was scheduled to fight Audley Harrison, and though he was favoured, there were many saying he's beatable even for the A-Farce. Sosnowski is so ordinary it's silly.
I havent seen anything special from solis in the pro's, maybe if he lost 40 pounds or more he would be able to show us his real skills, but that is why i said "Present" solis---fat , slow, probably with bad stamina. Im not trying to hype up Sosnowski here , but imo he would beat the likes of kevin Johnson ,he's nothing special but he aint no Bum either. Also i dont think he'll last the distance as he wont fight in the survival mode ,He's gonna Try and for 90% he'll pay for it by losing laying on the ground. (which is much better than whot Kingpin "disgrace" Johnson did show to us)
So Audley is getting the heave-ho then? Poor ole A-Farce. Although the guy has only himself to blame for not taking his chances earlier.
You mean; Good, he will now be able to send David Haye into retirement on a stretcher by the end of the year.
Haye is under contract by Sauerland/Don King. From all we know it will be near impossible to get a Vitali - Haye fight done this year. Haye will have to fight the winner of Chagaev - Meehan and possibly also has a rematch contract signed with Valuev (which explains Valuev's cocky behavior towards Vitali). In all likelihood, 2011 would be the earliest time Haye could fight Vitali. If until then Vitali doesn't retire, doesn't get knocked out and or injures himself again. And if Haye doesn't get knocked out by one of his WBA circus opponents. A lot of if's.
