If you want to compare the unkown Russian to an accomplished ATG like James Toney, you have zero boxing knowledge, end of story.

The Russian has no recognizable name on his record, whatsoever. Any knowledgable fan must be very offended by your ignorant comments.Anyway, I am not interested in any further discussion with you. Have a nice day. :rasta

Zuri Lawrence almost knocked him out. I give him less than a 50% chance to survive the 4th round, much less the 12th.

And yes, Sosnowski is a bum. I'm not saying this because I dislike Euros. I've seen five of his fights. He sucks. Period. Not only would Solis have been a more legitimate challenge, but here are some guys I would favor to kick Sosnowski's ass:

    Tony Thompson
    Ray Austin
    Alexander Dimitrenko
    Robert Helenius
    Kubrat Pulev
    Denis Boytsov
    Manuel Quezada
    Kali Meehan
    Kevin Johnson

We are not comparing them by whole career achievements, just by recent achievements at HW.

Which is logical, as the original problem was who of them is more deserving a titleshot (and not who of them has better achievements, or who would win H2H in their primes, and so on).

In terms of recens achievements I would say they are about equal (which means they are both not really deserving a titleshot). Wins over Vidoz and Williams together with EBU belt are roughly on the level of SD over Batchelder, decision over Oquendo (won by point deduction) and KO over Greer. And at least Sosnowski is willing to fight Vitali anytime anywhere (while Toney was just good at talking how badly he wants to fight them) and he will prepare for the fight in the gym rather than in McDonald.

This fight is a real farce.

The Klit boys like to discredit Haye's MANDATORY defence againts Ruiz, but this guy is PICKED by Vitali. A real real joke.

Its just because no one want to fight Vitali...its a paradox but the division dominant could be inactive due to lack of opponents willing to face him

that's definitely too much for sosnowski, but who knows... on the other hand vitali didn't look good against johnson so i guess all depends on how well will he be prepared...

I thought the Valuev fight would actually get done when all the back and forth over money got settled. Now I understand that Valuev wouldn't sign for the fight because he is probably going to use his rematch clause with Haye later this year, leaving Vitali to find someone else. But Sosnowski is one of the weakest heavyweight title challengers I've seen in years. His best wins are over Vidoz and a faded Williams. Sosnowski should be a gatekeeper for up and coming fighters not challenging for titles.

Solis would have been a much better challenge, or even Thompson, Austin, Dimitrenko, Toney or a number of heavyweights who have nothing scheduled at the moment. I get that Vitali is probably sticking around to get a fight with Haye so he has to fight someone, and I'm glad he's not just sitting around and not fighting at all. But Sosnowski is weak and he could have found someone a lot better who still had little chance of upsetting his showdown with Haye.

Well, you have to take into account other factors. Ruiz fighting for WBA title (or in eliminators) constantly from 2005 - no matter if he wins or loses - is definitely a farce, although I agree it is not Haye fault.

Another thing is that with most of top fighters busy (or not wanting any part of Klitschkos, like Povetkin or Haye) there may be not much choice after Valuev backed off the fight.

That guy is obviously American, you guys should know by now that for them anything East of Germany is Russia.

Hell, 37% of Americans can't even point out where the U.S.A. is on a map if it isn't labelled, how do you expect them to know where other countries are?
