i wasnt trying to have a dig at the fighter themselves but in comparison to the Heavies the US has produced over the years they are a pretty second rate bunch , and they have been the best of the last wee while.
I agree we don't have a top prospect that careers yet, hopefully in 6 - 7 years Wilder will be ready.
Glad he didnt go the Danny Williams route and turn up at a career heaviset in some kind of bizarre attemp to out muscle Vitali. This should be a decent tussle , for a bit at least !
Bryd, Brock, & Thompson were all in pretty good shape against Wlad. But yes, Sosnowski is absolutely the most in-shape fighter Vitali has fought since Lewis.
Whats your thoughts on why the US has gone from utter domination of the Heavies to where you are today ?
great to see a heavyweight fight with two heavyweights that actually look like thye're in good shape. vitali will still beat him easily though due to ability alone. good luck to the underdog though.
Sosnowski looks extremelly muscular and compact to make anyone's bells ring with a big punch. Happens that Vitali developed a perfect stance to fit his long lean body and his height. Moreover, Vitali has the top level experience to come right away and do not commit mistakes. Therefore, I give Sosnowski a very low chance to even take the fight to Vitali.
Damn Sosnowski looks like a little tank.. Probably a big tank if he wasn't next to Vit.. Are they showin this in the U.S.
I know you weren't asking me, but imo it's (for the most part) due to Europeans catching up to the US (and not just in boxing). For example, look at how the Dream Team demolished all competition in 1992....now the US has several losses to euro teams.
