What did you think of David Haye vs Nikolay Valuev?
I congratulate Haye! He won that fight deservingly.
Would you want to fight Haye?
Yes, now that he is a world champion, he is interesting to my brother and I. I hope that now he won’t be able to cancel any fights against us. After Johnson, I am ready to sit down at the negotiating table.

the above is quoted from the link at the top from todays fightnews.

So, IF Haye gets past Ruiz and his Valuev rematch and by then is a free man...this could well happen. Hmmm still a long way off with 2 big IF's but you never know!

    He's a classy guy.

I dont think the Valuev rematch will happen tbh. Hopefuly a Haye v Klitschko fight sooner rather than later !

Whatever you say or think about the Klitschkos, there is no denying that they both conduct themselves in a gentlemanly manner.

Me neither, I think Valuev wants the rematch so they have to buy him out.

    Yeah probably

It was so dull that I would happily donate to the step aside money just to not have to watch it again

    Haye

"They are the biggest fight. The biggest paydays. The biggest everything. They are the big fights that the*people want to see*-*not only in England but everywhere. When they check their bank accounts after their fight next and see how much they could get for fighting me and see the pay-per-view numbers that I'm getting - then they will probably go and make the right business decision."

    Let's get it on

Haye ran away to the WBA circus but I don't blame him. He went for the most sensible way to get his HW world title and got it.

I really cant see Valuev giving Haye his fight without a rematch clause as he gave a voluntary defense. So somethings going to be needed to appease him!

I think Haye wants to extend his hold of his belt a little longer. The Klits have to wait a little longer.

It's been confirmed there is a rematch clause but when is questionable. Hayes been quotes as saying Valuev needs to win a few fights for a shot so I don't think it's set in stone. There's no market for a rematch so if the Valuev situation becomes a problem, money should resolve it.
Which makes more money for Sauerland? Haye v Valuev II or Haye v A Klitchsko?

Valuev would be foolish to no use his rematch clause, it gives him all the leverage he needs to get the step aside money....and by doing nothing more than requesting the contractual rematch which he is entitled to. Worse case scenario for Valuev would be that he might have to actually fight Haye, but he would get more money for that than any other fight out there (bar the Klitschkos probably, but they now have no reason to fight him).

Even though I would watch this fight, there would'nt be that real excitment of a big fight. Just knowing Vitali would destroy haye leaves it kinda not interesting.
