Vitali - Stiverne: King wants $2million purse for Stiverne

Let it go to a purse bid, let's see if King bids enough for Stiverne to get 2 million.

 

I think a million is fair but if you think about it. this would be the first fight since Arreola that the US would want to watch. so just pay the man the 1.5, and Vatli can try to add to his legacy

 

wouldn't surprise me if King ripped Stiverne off of a large portion of the 2 million he wants

 

King wants 2 million for Stiverne so he can pay 750k to Stiverne.

Ortiz got 2.5 million for Mayweather, so I'd say King needs to lower his expectations.

 

for Stiverne to get a 2 mil payday through a purse bid King would have to bid over 8 milliion. No way is he going to do that and if he does he will default.

King is just posturing. Remember when he wanted 4 mil for Valuev to fight Vitali when Valuev had already lost the WBA belt :roflatsch

your numbers are off for one McNeeley made $540,000 vs Tyson and Sanders 150k vs Wlad. Second, if King wants Stiverne to make 2 mil nothing is stopping him from making a winning purse bid that would do such.

 

Don King even getting CLOSE to someone who has even a slight chance at having part of the heavyweight title makes me cringe.

But then again, Stiverne don't have a chance, so........no worries.

 

On a realted note, I guess this means VK is not retiring just yet, afterall !!!

Stiverne would be happy with 1mil but he is not getting that no matter how much King gets paid. This is what you get for doing business with DK.

 

im not holding my breath on this one. I have seen how DK negotiates. I give this fight about 30% chance of getting done if DK is acting like this already
