Good point and I agree with you. He did go out on top and at the right time. If he faced Vitali who would have been his mandatory at that point before he retired then I think Lewis would have had another loss on his recored. My thoughts. Peace
No. Lewis is the best fighter Briggs ever faced. Remember Lennox Lewis? The last undisputed heavyweight champion of the world? You know, the guy who beat Holyfield, Tyson and... oh yeah! Klitschko himself! How dare you disagree. You must be a dumb hater!:hey
I think Briggs was so amazed/shocked by his inability to hit Vitali, as well as Vitali's ease of hitting him. And Lewis did get rocked by Briggs, and Briggs even managed a decision win over Foreman.......yet he could barely put a glove on Vitali, and was getting nailed, pillar to post, for 12 rounds. But, as has been said, Briggs is now 38 and 262, so you gotta factor that in, as well. Vitali certainly seems to be as effective as ever, even at 39.
And what punch was it that Lewis ko'd him with ...uh wait a sec he didnt the reff jumped in as he was standing up you moron. go watch it fk your dumb.
evryone who seen the fight knows Vitali was well ahead on the score cards and we needed a rematch to finish business and it never happend and why?
I basically call you a fairy and you come back with "getting your potassium from" bananas and confirm the ****. Yeah, I bet you "get your potASSium from" bananas every night while watching your fanboy tributes to Hank Armstrong who also was culinarily hopeless. Now, then. What's your position on steak? Grill it medium rare or marinate it in some pineapple tamarind French *** sauce or some **** like that? Let's hear it, this should be good.
He wasn't well ahead on the scorecards, most neutrals had it 3-3 at the time of the stoppage and it could have been given 4-2 either way. Hardly 'way ahead' in any case, especially when fighting on rubber legs with one eye :yep The rematch wasn't needed to finish business, you get one shot at the champ and barring a controversial decision that's your lot. There was nothing controversial about the way Lewis broke VITLAYS face, nothing at all.
Yea cuz that punch was dead on huh it wasnt a fluke or nothing and on the real score cards Vitali was ahead 2 points on each, and the croud and everyone else who was there ? hmmm wonder what they thought .. everyone who was there exept for lewis's corner had Vitali winning the fight. and it was inconclusive.
