The strange thing about Klitschko is that he is the heaviest non-devastating puncher I've ever seen. He stops the vast majority of his opponents as his great KO ratio attests but it's usually because he hits them so much. Look at how much crisper Lewis' shots were in the vast majority of his fights, he was clearly capable of hitting a lot harder. Yet Klitschko has this incredible KO ratio which is very rare for one who - at the higher level of the sport - is clearly an attritional puncher rather than the sort who'll really concuss you.

You absolute dickhead. Go and watch Shannon Briggs against Lewis...Shannon Briggs was actually capable of throwing a punch with speed and power, he weighed 228lbs and got knocked down 3 times before being stopped.

Vitali Klitschko had a defenceless guy infront of him for about 7 rounds tonight and hit him with every punch he had and still could not even knock the guy DOWN nevermind out. He is far from a true heavyweight puncher.

Lewis is black so he probably has to be better.

Friendly reminder: Lewis was in trouble against Shannon and 39 year old Vitali dominated Briggs and maybe got punched 3 times the whole night.

I will have to agree with Briggs about this one. He was sincere this time. I thinkhe truly believed what he said.

Of course Vitali seems like the best when Briggs is 39 years old and has done nothing for years. To him he would feel like Vitali was the best because Briggs is probably delusional about his own abilities at this point, as all fighters are, they never admit when they're past it.

The actual fights speak volumes, Lewis knocked out a far better fight in 5 rounds.

But let's not forget that Lewis was in deep trouble in the first round. Vitaliy was never in any danger.

If Briggs had dared to open up like this, he would have been KOed instantly.

  12. Thank you.

I was seriously getting worried that my perspective on all of this was badly warped.

A truely moronic statement. Briggs with speed and power vs Briggs with no speed and can not pull the trigger. There is a bit of a difference, he weighed over 260lbs tonight so do you really think he has the capability to put punches together with the some intensity as he did against Lewis? Think...before...posting.

    :rofl:rofl

So how many more punches did Vitali need to hit him with to KO him? Vitali hit him with his best right hands, not once, twice or three times but literally dozens of times from round 7 onwards. He had an asthma ridden 39 year old who could barely lift his arms up to defend himself, he hit him with every punch he had you tit.
