Vitali is a GREAT boxer. Nothing about Wlad makes him a 'GREAT' fighter. He is a good champion. NOT Great. Here is the comparison. Vitali: Mean fighter Great chin Always ready Not afraid Goes to the body DOES NOT CLINCH EXCESSIVELY Left Hooks Right hand Over Hand Right Body Shot Jab to the Body Shots from Various Angle Very good Jab Upper cuts Fights Tall and Short fighters very well (adapts very well that is) Always have Plan: A, B, C Ring intelligence and very smart Very good power Cuts out the ring very nicely Killer Instinct Great survival instinct Awesome defense. Faints his shots Wlad: Always ready Great Left Hook (barely used now) Fast Right hand (Straight only) Very good Jab Very good power Who's the more complete fighter? and who's more technical? Just because Vitali looks awkward, does NOT make him less technical. In Fact, he is a COMPLETE fighter and a TRUE HWC. He is centuries ahead of the Squid brother. Please discuss.
If Vitali said to you "let's go back to my hotel room and I'll show you just how great I am..." would you go?
Your threads about the Klitschkos are all the same and many similar threads on these two have been created. Go read them. By the way, it's ok for men to find other men attractive. We accept all
First of all, I am trying to convey a point to the Wlad n*tt huggers that claim that Wlad is this awesome boxer/fighter. This is a boxing board. Second, you are entitled to your opinion, however, personal attacks are not necessary. In any of my threads, i have not attacked Wlad's character, nor any posters character. I am merely posting about boxing.
Wlad beats the best fighters of his era, goes on a ten year undefeated streak. Vits lives off the legend of getting stopped by a Lewis with one foot in retirement, yet never had to courage to chase a Byrd rematch after quitting. Wlad is an ATG. Vittles is simply overrated from a career standpoint.
Wlad beats Vitali in most areas of boxing. He's dominated the division for a decade and his opponents have gone ahead to get some good wins after the beating Wlad gave them. Vitali was a very good HW in his prime but his second run was not impressive when you look at how his opponents have done after the losses to Vitali. Charr, Chisora, Peter, Johnson, Solis, Adamek and Arreola all lost badly pretty soon after. Wlad on the other hand has good solid wins in Haye, Povetkin, Pulev, Chagaev, Jennings and Thompson. Jennings will go on to have a good career at HW.
You're overrating Vitali (putting in every subjective attribute and leaving out liabilities) and underrating Wlad (putting in a couple of attributes while mentioning disclaimers right beside the attribute). You don't seem to want a fair discussion.
Does anyone even consider Squidward a top 5 hw of all time? No one that I know Wlad is a good HW, not great. Not someone people will miss or talk about decades to come.
Fair enough.. thank you for not attacking me personally. In what you are you referring to? Please elaborate. I am willing to listen and be open minded, unbiased.
I actually think as boxing skills go, Wladimir might actually be more skilled than his brother. His brother holds some advantages over him though that I don't think you can learn even with as much ring experience as Wlad has- specifically his brother has a much better chin and IMO is the more powerful of the 2. I wish there was better competition in the past decade for Wladimir, it's sad he's had over 65 fights and hasn't even fought 1 HOF bound fighter. Really goes to show you how weak the HW division has been. The only guy who was equipped to beat Wladimir since Lewis retired is his brother. I always thought Vitali could end up KO'ing his brother if they ever fought.
A prime 2003-2005 Vitali would have kicked Wlad's ass (Steward version). It wouldn't even be close. Vitali wouldn't let Wlad be squidward in there and nail him with huge bombs from both hands stepping in.
In what way is Wladminir more skilled? Is it due to his aesthetic stance and jab? Vitali is more fluid, angles, and mixes it up. he does not seem like he follows a 'protocol'. Like, robotics in the sense of following a script. He is fluid. Again, in what way is Wlad more skilled?
I've been watching both Klit bro's since they came on the scene. Once Wlad was exposed for stamina issues along with a posiible shacky chin, Emmanuel Stewart taught him to hold whenever hurt or even when his opponent goes on the offensive. Now, as for last Sat. night vs Byrant Jennings. Jennings has only 6 yrs of boxing experience & it showed badly. Even still, he managed to rock Wlad a couple of times & go the distance, which is a joke. If Jennings had more skills, say a Joe Frazier type left hook, or knew how to throw a decent right hand, Wlad would not be Champion today. Wlad is not an ATG. Just bc his record is what it is, doesn't put him up there with elite HW's. If it wasn't for his size, he would have been history along time ago. Stick that in your pipe & smoke it. It is the absolute TRUTH. Thank You. :!:
