You have to applaud Vitali for his honesty here.

In the Del Boy face-off, he admited he only fought Adamek because he was the mandatory and would have been stripped if he refused the fight. Even more damningly though, in the face of Del Boy taunts, Vitali revealed he could have knocked Adamek out early, but he carried him because the Pole was fighting in his home country in front of his adoring fans.

We've all been saying Adamek was carried, now Vitali admits it. Tomasz 'On ***** Street From a Jab' Adamek has no place in the elite end of the Heavyweight division.

Check the end of video 1 and the beginning of video 2 for Vitali's brutally frank assesment:

Watch what Vitali does here just after he lands the big right and knocks Adamek flying into the corner. Watch from just after 3 mintues. He carried him alright.

Damn, I don't like saying it but imagine how embarassing would it have been for Adamek if he got knocked out in the first round from a jab, he should be thanking Vitali really.

but to be honest....isnt this what we all expected? adamek was tiny in there and clearly couldnt take the shots from a man of vitali's size and power but even though vitali carried him you cant ignore adameks heart he kept coming forward despite even vitali's jabs were hurting him

Adamek definitely is a true warrior and he did keep trying.
But yeah i did feel Vitali could have ended it at any time he wanted after the first 2.

Great performance by Vitali, as he took out a top rated guy in his pirme, fighting with shocking ease.

If Adamek's body was as large as his heart, he would be the undisputed champion. Too bad he is a cruserweight at best.

Confused him with Herbie Hide....same difference, both glass jawed Cruiserweights with big mouths. At least Hide didn't claim his little toe was hurt in defeat.

I remember Hide claimed after the fight that he broke his thumb in the first round
