Once you reach this age as a boxer, I don't think anyone should begrudge retirement, but I know some people here will give him grief for it.

Would Vitali win the 41 year old all-time heavyweight championship? I can think of the 41 year old versions of Foreman, Holmes and Holyfield competing in the mythical tournament. Any others?

Without a doubt. Timeless, like fine wine is the elder Dr. Klitschko.

You would pick George at 41 over Vitali today?

George was still a good fighter at 41 and would go on to give Holyfield a good fight and beat Alex Stewart, and then win the title again a couple of years later. So I guess it's possible he beats Vitali of today.

Of course they shouldn't begrudge it,just like they shouldn't begrudge a 38 year old who has achieved everything there is to achieve in the game retiring.

But the idiot branch of the Klitclub are the queens of double standards.

He'll only get grief because of all the bull**** his sillier fans post about Lewis. You reap what you sow.

41 year old Foreman still had one punch KO power and gave Prime Holyfield one of his tougher fights.

Holmes was good too at 41. For his age,Vitali is good at age 41 but he lost a few steps for sure.

Vitali isn't the same guy from a few fights back, for sure, but he still beats just about every HW in the world

    Well done.:good

A bit of honest realism goes a long way and if there was more of this amongst a certain number of K2 fans,we could destroy the myth that everyone who's not a fan is a hater, and everyone who is a fan is delusional.
