I agree. These guys met up for a coffee and weren't mature enough to iron out the details to give the fans an intriguing battle simply due to their dimensions.

 

I'm sure Valuev is a good earner. All the guys who fight in Germany get paid healthy. Plus him and his people know that him vs Vitali is an attraction solely on their dimensions.

I'm not absolving him of blame but I think it's been 3 or 4 people that have now complained about how bad K2 contracts are.

 

I'm kinda looking forward to it. Briggs will have a go for 5 mins and then need oxygen.

 

Valuev has never been hugely popular in Germany. He doesn't speak the language very well and the German public never took to him in the same way they took to the Klitschko's.

Again, who can Valuev fight to make close to $1.5m? He never even got huge crowds in Germany when he had a title. If Valuev wants more money he should be try and win the title.

As for the K2 contract, yes they are restrictive but what champion doesn't impose conditions for a voluntary fight?!

Vitali is in a pretty **** spot atm (since coming back really). He isn't the top guy and has fewer belts than Wlad, so unless a fighter is very confident they will beat him then it makes more sense to go for Wlad. Also he is set to retire soon, so nobody absolutely has to fight him- they can wait for him to go away. A smart fighter at this point would try to get up in the WBC ranking to fight for his belt when he vacates

On what grounds is Audley as good as an opponent as Briggs? Thats an absurd thing to say.

Dont get me wrong,i'm not saying Briggs is a deserving opponent but to claim Audley is as good as Briggs or that Haye-Audley is a better fight is really,really silly.
