Vitali said on Jenna' J's blogtalk radio show that he planned to *put Briggs on the floor before he can get me*. I sense another Sonsnowski type KO, probably mid to late.
In the ring Briggs has only went 4 rounds total in over 3-years. So I do wonder how that will effect him. But Briggs is in shape, that's for sure.
Vitali looks nearly finished to me. Hes just lucky he has been fighting plodders. Briggs has a real chance in the first 3 rounds if he just goes for it. After that his stamina will go and he will get worn down.
"Nearly finished," yet he has arguably not lost a round since he came back. Personally, I thought his fight against Arreola was a virtuoso performance, as he utilized lateral movement that totally confused Cristobal and laid such a beating on him that Arreola cried in the ring. Even old curmudgeon Larry Merchant was impressed. The last couple of fights have seen Vitali coast a bit, but still dominate. He will step it up for Briggs -- wait and see.
Agreed. Nobody expected to see Vitali fight Arreola on the backfoot that well. Johnson and Sosnowski looked silly against him. Briggs will bring the best out of Vitali like Arreola did. Just wait and see.
I would be surprised if it were otherwise. Vitali knows that Briggs is someone he can't coast against. He'll be very prepared.
I see Briggs coming into this fight going for a KO,and thats all she wrote. Briggs will be careless, coming right after Vitali and that will be his downfall. With that said,IMO thats also the only way Briggs can win this fight...By KO. Isn't it ironic.
I agree. I think vitali tries to take Briggs out early. This could be a fight where everyone afterwards says (Vitali was only fighting Briggs). Or it could be one of the better fights since Vitali & Lewis, while it lasts. We will have to wait and see. Peace
Honestly man, i am Fan of Vitali but it would be Hilarious to see Vitali looking totally shot there and getting knocked out in the First round.:rofl i dont think it will happen but would be damn weird:yep
