Serious question, what gameplan should Haye take against Vitali? Hit and Run? Toe to Toe? or another option?

I think Haye needs to do damage early, if he can suprise Vitali then maybe he has a shot. Opening a cut early as a target would help. But if they are both still standing after 5 rounds I feel david must fight defensive, because Vitali will figure him out around that point. If David can win early rounds, and Hurt vitali too he may stand a chance of a decision win.

    What do you think?

stick and move i guess. its hard to say, but then again vitalis chin has not been tested in a long time so its possible its gotten worse. one thing for sure is that haye is going to be a helluva lot faster than vitali so he will try to use that to his advantage

By staying very focused. Vitali mostly throws straight punches his wide punches arent nearly as fast as Hayes. Haye definitley has the power. It will be an interesting fight

Vitali throws a lot of long, looping punches. Haye needs to get inside those punches and tee off at close range to the head and then target the body with a hook for the last punch or two. When confronted with combinations, Vitali will often throw his arms up and attempt to deflect punches with his forearms and gloves as he backs up. Haye, with his speed, may be able to take advantage of this and land scoring blows to the body even though Vitali will most likely block the majority of the shots to the head. Perhaps if Haye lands enough of those body shots, and Vitali doesn't adjust his awkward defense to take this into account, Haye can score enough points in the early rounds and do enough damage to tire Vitali out down the stretch, make him drop his hands, and leave his chin out there. Again, with his speed and power, Haye may be able to capitalize on this. I don't see Haye being able to out-power Klitschko from the outside, which is Klitschko's bread and butter.

That having been said, I think the elder Klitschko will quite possibly dispose of Haye in the 4th or 5th round. I'm not saying Haye has a glass chin, I don't believe he does, but Vitali has huge power. In a toe-to-toe brawl, which Haye with his braggadocio may try to engage in, Klitschko wins 19 times out of 20.

Tighten the **** up would be a good idea, throw some solid straight punches.

Fear could be his friend come fight night, but I doubt it.
If he uses his fear for good, he could do very good.

    Real good analysis.

The other thing Vitali does that don't help the Haye chances 1 iota is his use of footwork in there. He backs up and then usually punches from awkward angles like 11:00 and 1:00. Opponents just aren't accustomed to facing that and it's not as if Klitschko gives opponents time to get comfortable having the time to solve it. On the contrary--he throws 1-2's and then backs up some more.

When he does back up tho, he is a long long way from a Haye punch landing. Plus, the arc of his punches will have to be different and we just saw how ineffective a guy like Peter was having to close that gap and punch up to land.
Haye will have to take 2 steps to each step Vitali takes and he has to be very careful about getting caught squared up or hit in the act of moving his feet.

It'll be interesting to see how Haye reacts to eating some 1-2's on the outside and if he can grit his teeth and keep his concentration to close that gap and land himself.

He can't himself. Only an injury can help Haye to win the fight.

I'll be rooting for Haye but fear it may be another Vitali vs Hide. Hope not and that Haye's speed and power comes through.

The Haye winning streak could very easily come to an end even though VK hasn`t had many fights over what?, 4 years.

He needs to forget about going for a knockout as its unlikely to happen against Vitali and just concentrate on his biggest asset, speed, he's plenty capable of hitting and moving and if he did this all night would win on points pretty easily. Trouble is he will definately at some point decide to trade with Vitali and thats when it could all go wrong.

He can't really win this,Vitali is over him at everything.
But....he might rush him and stop him after a few good powerful punches but I doubt it.
