I've felt that for a while when watching Vitali.

if vitali retires, who would be fighting for the wbc belt then?

would haye/chisora fall into that catagory?

I get the feeling Vitali wants to break Foremans record and become the oldest heavyweight champ. Even though he's constantly saying he doesn't. Will his body hold up though?

Haye is still a blown up smaller heavy weight.

He will never poses great physical strength.

He always has looked and always will look dodgy against any fighter with physical strength.

Haye is purely an explosive heavyweight, he is unable to fight with a high punch output and could never win on points.

    Vitali wins.

No IMO, But will anyone show up with heart Chisora and add ring IQ and sound gameplan to that?. He looked his age last week, even on scales i noticed he wasn't as ripped as normal. Hearing he's had issues before fight with ankle and knee. Could be lies but he's always had issues with his body breaking down on him.

I actually think in the case of Vitali, he could potentially win on pts such is the lack of foot speed now from VK.

Since when has the man who got beat by Tyson Fury become the gatekeeper? Saturday night was more about how far that Vitali had dropped off rather than how well Chisora did. Haye beats Chis every day of the week

i thought it was pathetic of haye to use chisora's performance to try and suggest he would beat wlad. chisora came forward throwing punches and ate plenty of hard shots. he was spitting out pure blood between rounds, there's no chance haye would do that.

    haye's punch stats vs wlad

    7/23 6/24 10/27 9/28 6/21 6/19 7/22 4/22 5/23 1/16 5/25 6/40

    chisora against vitali

    10/22 16/38 7/20 9/25 12/32 17/31 22/41 23/40 13/23 12/29 12/31 10/27

haye only landed 21 punches in the last five rounds. now it's fair enough to say that wlad is harder to hit but it was clear haye needed a knockout and he still came up with nothing. if haye goes in against vitali it'll be the same booth tactics again. hands down, keep your distance always moving backwards and swan dive if you feel pressure coming.

haye averages 25 punches a round as heavyweight. you can't win on points doing that and there is no way he knocks out vitali.

I think Vitali would still win, even though I think he's very much for the taking by a certain type of fighter.

In my opinion, Haye seems to be limited to throwing a very limited amount of punches per a round at HW, and it's not enough to outpoint even this version of Vitali.

Vitali no longer looks untouchable and can clearly now be bullied. However, I don't think Haye has the style to pressure him and in pushing it could well burn himself out for the taking later on.

That's not to say that it's totally inconceivable that Haye could win a bout against Vitali today though. There's clearly been no easier time to beat Vitali than now.

Haye lost his last fight. I'd like to see him fight Vitali but at the moment I'd much rather see him fight Chisora. Both are coming off a loss so a fight seems natural. Winner gets a klitschko.
