Vitali jabs his head off an issues a late KO/TKO Solis is just too lazy to get in good enough shape to beat a Klit at the min. Im hoping he sees this is a good opportunity (with Vitali aging and slowing down) and gets himself in good nick but im expecting to see a 255-260 pounder enter the ring just checked out his weight for his last four fights and 255-260 would be Solis getting in shape haha
Solis in his current shape does not have the mobility to pull it off. If he got down to 230 then he'd have a great chance.
There is no doubt Solis has been enjoying too much of the good life in Miami. Most of these Cubans - as good as they are - never go pro. But he signed that pro contract - seen the money - and enjoyed himself. However - I'm thinking Dough Boy - really is going to whip himself into some kind of shape for this. He is fighting for the World Heavyweight Title - and this is the biggest fight of his career. Could be interesting. :think
This content is protected He might be a bit podgy in this pic after too many Burger Kings. But you can see why he beat Haye - genetically you can see he is good pedigree with alot of world class amateur experience.
Ive not been impressed with Solis at all when ive seen him.It will probably be points landslide win for Vittali or a late stoppage. Solis will try moving about a bit to try and tire Vittali but he wont be landing anything of his own he will lose every round. Each round will be exactly the same with Solis being kept at range eating jabs and straight rights.
Solis has no chance really. Vitali will fight careful in the first half of the fight and that pour it on in the second half forcing a stoppage. Massive shame that Solis has turned out like he has although if you had to put up with the Cuban training regime for so long you probably couldn't help indulging just a bit :yep
I don't think Solis poses any threats his compatriot Gomez didn't. He had a bit of handspeed and boxing ability too. The problem with Solis is, he WAS all potential coming from his amateur background but as a pro he's not shown anything. The desire is not there now he's left Cuba and he's relatively well off. He's nothing more than another plodder unfortunately, albeit one with a lot of hidden potential but I just can't see them finding the key to unlock it when he's never been in shape once.
Will be interesting to see the attitude of Solis now he's fighting for a world title. Either: "Great, this is what I've waited for, time to knuckle down and secure some big fights & paydays in the future." or "Great, I'm getting paid $1.8 million, forget training, I'm set for a while, lets go to KFC" Sadly, I'm pretty sure whick it'll be
He's extremely skilled, and has no dicernible chin issues - he'll take Vitali to a closer than expected points verdict.
He is fat and slow and small. He doesn't punch enough. Vitali will simply keep moving and keep him at distance.
