Not for me. No. But for many, it seems. I wonder how people would've thought about it back when Buddy and Max were both fighting if they happened to seem like the 1 and 2. :conf

Buddy and Max would have probably done what any two self respecting brothers would do. fight for the money. I am sure they wouldnt be the first or last brothers to fight. At least with enough money they would have a decent reason.

Why you think "any" two self respecting brothers would get in a ring and try to beat the **** out of one another for the sole purpose of money is beyond me. Especially two rich brothers who don't have to worry about food on their family's table. But, to each their own, I suppose.

They shouldn't be expected to fight each other.
And if they did it would probably have less action than Wlad v Ibragimov. They'd just flap arms at each other and grin about the millions they are making.
The only hope for a real fight between the two is if Vitali bangs Hayden Pantie-whatever while Wlad is away in training.

Historically speaking, it depends on your criteria for ranking. If you put a lot of value in fighting the absolute best of your time - then, yes, it diminishes their rating. If that's your criteria.

They'll never fight each other; don't need too...:-(

Both are great top-20 all-time heavies who could handle fighters from any era going back to 1887... Both will go to the IBHOF down the road...

Aside from this manure about who's resume is better, well, screw it, both can cause serious damage to a melon-farmer at any given time...

    Vitali: Meaner and tougher.

    Wlad: More skilled and athletic.

...If Vitali wants in my top 20, he actually probably would need to fight Wladimir. :tong

Most brothers I know end up swinging for less important reasons than money. Usually it is for nothing and over spilt beer or something similarly ridiculous:D
I dont know too many brothers who wouldnt take the money and fight (it would be a massive fight for both of them). Still, i understand them not doing it. I just dont think it would be anywhere near as bad or impossible as people make out. At the very least, i reckon a couple of old school style "exhibition" fights would be comparable.

Pro boxers don't fight close family members in the ring......:-:)deal

The Baer's and The Spinks' didn't do it, and neither will the Klit's.....

Well, most brothers I know have indeed hated and attacked each other at some point. :yep However, that said, these two seem to be almost as close as that notorious photo (edited?) of them would suggest. Almost.

Personally, I would never fight my own brother, in adulthood, for sport. One, he's also over 200 years old and 2, there's always that chance that one odd punch could kill a man and I'd be scared I'd have that kind of luck to do it. Plus, there's a big difference between getting riled up in an argument or what have you and it coming to fisticuffs and actually planning on getting in front of people to throw down, preparing your body to do it, etc. I can't imagine that, really.

No temper flaring, just calmly, calculatingly training to kick my brother's ass for weeks. And I really can't imagine what their relationships with their mother, still living, I think, would be. They said they promised her they wouldn't, I recall. I'm glad they wouldn't. I wouldn't want to see it. ...Aside from the curiosity.

No one in the long run held it against Frazier and Norton that they choose not to fight against each other, and they were friends rather than relatives.

In the long run, no sane person is going to hold this against the Klitschkos, particularly as there is so much more you can hold against them!

VK-WK would probably be one of the most atrociously boring snoozefests of all time.
