My guess is that Vitali would not take this fight unless he thought he could KO Valuev. Haye won by decision, so obviously that would be in his mind, and he would want to do better than Haye.

Nobody wants to see this farce, Valuev is no match for Vitali. Other than Haye and James Toney, I don't see any opponents Vitali should face at this point.

You call a Valuev fight a farce but suggest Vitali fight James Toney?:rofl:patsch

Are you serious? Toney has not won a meaningful fight in 5 years.

Valuev is one of the few significant fights out there for Vitali. I'd be quite excited about it if it comes off :thumbsup

In my opinion Toney hasn't even LOST a meaningful fight in 5 years... Name me one...

A small fat toad even the slow Peter could hit almost at will... May be Toney was a meaningful boxer years ago, and may also be Toney has forgotten more about boxing then 99 % of todays boxers will ever know, but today he's nothing.

Why should Vitali fight him? What does he have to gain? To beat the little fat toad silly? There's no fame in this...

I think Vitali's idea is to fight Haye by proxy since Haye doesn't seem inclined to fight Klitschko directly himself.

This stupid writing the article says that VALUEV and VITALI don't do anything in a fight, when it was HAYE and JOHNSON who refused to fight and punch almost at all ???? Freaking anti-Klitschko bullshitting idiots.

Will this mean Vitali is mandatory for the WBA title if he beats Valuev?

Klitschko will win this fight. He'll one up Haye by landing TWO punches in the fight.

Klitschko should of fought Valuev a long time ago instead of the long line substandard lumps he's been making do with.

Now that Haye has beaten (and shaken) him Vitali seems happy to take sloppy seconds???!!!

    Too Little too late.

Of course Klitschko will win but lets not start any **** about doing it to get to Haye.

It was Haye who took on Valeuv to gain a better bargaining position with Klitschko!

I dont know if Haye will beat Klitschko but I hope somebody walks in and takes care of those two just so the rest of us dont have to suffer watching them take more safety first offences with people they should be knocking out in a few rounds.

What about using remote sense when writing, instead of handing Haye type bull**** as if that is all any brit can up with ?

Both Vitali and Wlad offered Valuev title unification fights, more than once. Valuev always said he was "considering" or "working" on that, just to have it slowly die afterwards, or flat out come with an excuse like not taking Wlad on short notice as replacement for Chagaev. Chagaev DID take Wlad on short notice, same way as Wlad took Chagaev on short notice as replacement for Haye.

I could probbly think of at least 5 maby as much as 15 curent heavweights who are better than Valuev, and he is coming off of a loss. However because of his size and duribility. Valuev may present problems for either Klitchko that no other heavyweight can.

Valuev just lost to Haye. Haye even wobbled him. This is as bad as Mayweather fighting Judah after Baldomir just beat him(coming from a big Floyd/Vitali fan). Just fight Haye already, that's the fight everyone wants to see.

I'm all for this fight, but I don't think it will be very exciting, I see Vitali using a similar approach that Haye used, I think this one could be another Johnson fight.
