Amazing how Vitali can fight Chris in September. At least we don't have to wait until November or December.
So it's all official then? Let's hope that iot's a good scrap while it lasts and that Arreola gives a good account of himself.
Arreola will try so it should make for a decent fight. But his lack of conditioning will let him down. Vitali is a real machine when it comes to that, I don't think Arreola will cope. It's good again though to see these top guys fighting. We've have some good 'clearing of the waters' in the heavyweight division this year with stuff like Arreola-McCline, Chambers-Dimitrenko, Vitali-Gomez and so on.
Big props to Vitali for going to Chris' backyard and fighting him in front of his home crowd in a VOLUNTARY defense.
Right on it should be a fun 4 rounds while it lasts. Hopefully, Arreola will pull off the upset, but I doubt it. I'll be rooting for him, but probably Vitali KO's him within 4 rounds.
This is such a horrible mismatch. I think Vitali splatters him in 3. Honestly, the length of this fight only depends on how aggressive Klit is from the get go. If he's super aggressive, prob 2-3 rds max, if he boxes very patiently behind the jab 5-6 rds.
Vitali will leave his left hanging, lure Arreola, trying to dodge or lean back as Arreola punches and then brutally counter him.
If Arreola is not ready now, then he'll never be ready. Unfortunatly the gulf in class between the top ranked contender's and the Klitschko's, is too far apart. I can't see any tuneup fight, that will prepare him for Vitali. But i do believe Chris's power, and chin is vastly underrated...
Come on, Arreola. Let's hope he can end the Klitschko family monopoly of the HW division. It would be nice to see the HW crown back in America:good.
I give Arreola props for taking this fight, but he is not ready for this level of competition. I'm no fan of the K bros, but there's no way Arreola will get around K's jab. Small chance he can get a good shot in there, but he will eat so much leather in trying to do so, he will eventually fold in about round 5-6. Wish it weren't so, though.
Danny Williams, all over again. Count on it. Assuming Arreola can stay on his feet as long as Willaims did, which is doubtful. But, there was not much for VItali to choose from, so, an opponent like Arreola was expected, given what is out there.
