we did do, i think as a thread we all (bar a briggs nuthugger) agreed that briggs was pretty **** and there arent 10 contenders, or decent boxers, beneath him.
Fair enough. I think Briggs is as much of a challenge as anybody else in the Heavies just because he has a big punch, fairly quick hands & he's accurate too. He just doesn't have any stamina and no, he doesn't deserve it. I don't blame Vitali for fighting Briggs though, because Haye & Valuev won't accept the challenge, and Briggs is a former Champion. Looks good on the resumé.
h2h you would struggle to find a top 20 opponent that briggs would beat. he does have good pop, but he has never proved it against world class opposition. i think the only man he has really knocked out, who was a top 10 fighter, is liakhovic. that is it. it will look good on his resume. but right now the fight dont mean much.
Solis-when did he turn K2 down last I checked he called Vitali out. Povetkin-you're right Haye-Haye made a counter offer to K2 for him to take the british ppv revunue which they turned down so here it isn't Haye turned down you can only say a deal wasn't reached. Valuev-you're right although I think Valuev had good reason Adamek-you're right Chagaev-what does him being Haye's mandatory have to do with K2 Chambers-you're right other than the brutally part I thought Vitali's knockout of Sonawski was more brutal that was a good shot there. Boytsov-agreed.
i think everyone nows that there actually are better challenges than briggs out there, the thing is he did pursue haye and valuev, so i think people give him a break because it is unreasonable to expect him to pursue 15 contenders, they should be pursuing him. i dont buy that briggs is the only availabe challenger either. i dont by that briggs is even a challenge tbh.
