I wouldn't care, but his fans proclaim him to be a top 10 ATG heavyweight when he has one of the worst resumés of any heavyweight title holder ever. It's truly shocking.

Exactly. Tony Thompson wouldn't be a bad fight.

    2 things.

    1. like many other posters i dont see how vitali should get a free pass just because his brother beat a fighter. they are two seperate champs and should be treated as such. i am massively in favour of a brother beating up a guy who beat his brother tho cos that adds drama.

    2. im sorry but i am not giving vitali a free pass for the haye fight. he cant just "leave haye to wlad" IM NOT SAYING VITALI IS DUCKING HAYE, but it is bs. just because wlad won the bet or whatever it was (coin toss, lots i cant remember) it is ridiculous. everyone knows haye vs vitali would be much more competitive plus it would leave the division one fight from being unified.

imagine at WW floyd says "im not fighting berto, pac beat me at rock paper scissors so i leave it to him"

or at middleweight martinez says "sturm beat me in an arm wrestle therefore he gets to fight williams"

    it is bull****.

i have massive respect for k2, and unlike most haye fans i do see them as amazing fighters, especially wlad. but this whole treating them as one fighter is detrimental to the sport. so what if wlad beat chagaev, don't mean vitali would. same with arreola, dont mean wlad would beat him.

And as for everyone saying valuev is vitali's best fight out there, haye still gets **** for beating "the worst hw champion in history" so why should vitali get any credit if this fight comes off?

again im not hating cos i do love k2, but they should be treated as seperate entities. and the fans should be less hypocritical, but then again that is nothing to do with k2 themselves.

if 3 years from now wlad lost a fight, vitali would come out to beat up the guy who beat little brother. that is one side of k2 i have HUGE respect for

I am not interested in Vitaliy v Auston or Thompson. I would rather see Vitaliy against someone else even though it was his brother who beat them. Actually, he did not just beat them, he destroyed them.

Haye does not want to part of Vitaliy KlitschKO. Vitaliy cannot force him to fight him. It is not possible. Do you not see it? Haye will hide until Vitaliy announces his next fight.

The thing is that KlitschKOs need 5-7 opponents per year. It is hard to find some many good opponents to get KOed.

No, he wouldn't. But Thompson recently pulled out of a fight due to injury, so I doubt he's available.

Haye wants no part of Vitali...he already ran away once to fight Valuev.

Ray Austin should be nowhere near a title shot. The guy is awful. I too would rather see Valuev but Briggs at least is a former WBO title holder and Boxing fans have heard of the guy before.

The idiots in this thread suggesting Austin or Thompson have an agenda. Neither guy is worth a crap and neither is the Glass Jawed, no stamina asthma having Briggs but he will have to do it looks like.

    In order of priority
    1) Valuev - still a big name in Germany and Russia, 2 time world champion, and will be a sign if he can beat him better than Haye did

    2) Boystov - old vs the future, if Vitali wins; Boystov will go on to bigger and better things and be VKs 'legacy'

    3) Solis - just to see him beat up

This fight will be entertaining at least. Like the TS said, he doesnt have many options. Briggs will bring the fight for 2 rounds, then gas out, at which point Vitali will beat his massive head like a drum until a stoppage around the 7th or 8th round. Briggs is huge and has a decent chin but can barely hold his hands up beyond round 2, so we should see quite the beating take place here
