I love Shannon Briggs. Such a nice guy. He always talks to me on facebook and gives direct reply to his fanmail :-D

 

At least Vitali has now got an opponent to agree to fight him.

I'd obviously rather it be Valeuv, but Briggs will do. Certainly interesting enough to watch.

 

Briggs - Haye would make sense, and Vitali - Valuev makes sense: this isn't as good as either, but at least he's fighting, unlike Haye, possibly my favourite fighter, but not much of a matchmaker these days...

 

Briggs is always an interesting match up. He's got dynamite power, and can potentially win against anyone in an instant.

If only he threw more punches!

If we could place Briggs in a time machine to be the exact copy of the fighter who went toe to toe with Lewis I'd give him a chance.

It's a better match than Vitali vs Valuev at least. Valuev is a ****in joke... everyone just wanted to see him get knocked out of the ring and die.

 

I gotta say this is not a good fight to be made.

Briggs, while strong as an ox, and accurate, has a very limited arsenal. His jab is below average, never seen him throw an uppercut, and his footwork is all but gone.
Decent movement from the waist and head, but he won't be sidestepping Vitali's attack, and that is gonna equal disaster for him.

Vitali is not Liakovich or Ibragimov. He is a champion, and a hell of lot more powerful than Lennox Lewis ever was.

Vitali will not be timid like Sultan or Sergay, and will go right for the large, immobile target in front of him.

This fight, if it happens, is an ugly, lopsided, KO by Vitali.

Vitali KO4 or TKO by way of Briggs quitting inside of 5.

 

How you managed to pull a hot hoe like that with your total lack of intelligence is beyond me.
