The last Vitali who was pushed to the limit by Chisora. The same Chisora that didnt win a round against Fury?

 

Prime Vitali v Prime Fury would have been a good fight. The thing with Fury is and what I dont think most people seem to understand is hes obviously unbeaten but you rarely get to see him get out of first gear. He has won every fight easily. Shame he has let him self get so fat I hope he can get back to him old self

The only argument people have for Vitali winning is based on an assumption that he's turn pressure fighter and walk Fury down.

The problem with this theory is Vitali wouldn't know what to do once he entered Fury's wheelhouse. He is too stiff and rigid to get shots off in close. He didn't throw , let alone land a meaningful punch against Lewis on the inside.

He has to have a gap between himself and his opponent at all times to get his shots off. That's the only way he can box and its why he was so good at controlling the range against short stumpy opponents.

Angles beat straight lines all day long. Fury has more dimensions than Vitali on the outside and on the inside.

Its highly likely that the accumulative effect of Tyson's shots damage Vitali's face . Chisora who isn't prone to cuts or swelling took the worst facial damage of his career.

Absoloutely he is. Haye can bare move his limbs any more without breaking someting.

Vitali will work out soon enough that Fury has no power and can't hurt him, and he's not going to fall for his feints and shuck n jive. He will walk him down and force the exchanges. I see a mid-to-late stoppage when Fury's had enough.

So you're comparing the performance of a 40 year old, 1 armed Klitschko against a young Chisora ... to a 26 year old Fury against an end-of-the-road Chisora?

Chisora was not young when Klitchko faced him and he was only 2 years older when he faced Fury who schooled him for the second time. He schooled him many years earlier when Chisora was in his prime but quite overweight

 

IB, you should have been in Wlad's corner that night. Everything you wrote is absolutely correct and right on the money. And it's crazy that Wlad didn't want to mix it up with the slapping Fury but DID mix it up with a much stronger and dangerous Joshua.
