All Vitali needs to do is ask the WBC to postpone his mandatory against Solis. Let's make that one happen instead. The fight isn't signed, both the WBA and WBC will be happy for a unification bout, so why not? It's not in Haye's hands this time, the only person who can make it possible is Vitali. All he needs to do is ask them if he can fight Haye and let's get it on. People have said "Why doesn't Haye call Vitali out?" but Vitali is currently unavailable as he has a mandatory waiting to happen, so Haye literally can't do anything on that front. However, if Vitali wants to fight Haye, he's the one who can make it happen and all he needs to do, is pay a small amount to Solis, ask the WBC if he can unify and we're on. Surely Vitali doesn't need a tune-up against a guy who shouldn't last a round too? Let's wait to see what happens. Vitali will either apply for permission to unify or he'll fight Haye. It's a simple choice: Solis or Haye, so let's see who he picks.
The fight will never happen though. The level of fear that Gaye has for Vitali can easily be seen by a non boxing connoisseur.
If this fight does happen, bretchko and BoxingDomain will still find **** to ***** about. Though i do believe this will be a tougher fight than vs China Chin Wlad. When Haye beats Vitali, Haye/Wlad will be that much bigger, all the belts on the line + revenge for brothers loss.
spot on. lets hope vitali has more balls than wlad. and even if he does fight solis, i hope we see vitali vs haye in the fall at least! wlad is gonna be tied up with adamek so forget him.
Let's see, right? Before you condemn "Gaye" (Witty, by the way) let's see if Vitali even asks to fight him. One of two things will happen. Either Vitali will go ahead with the Solis fight which nobody wants to see or he'll go to unify against Haye. If Haye rejects, fine, call him whatever you want. However, this fight can happen next. All Vitali needs to do, is show he is open to this fight. If he doesn't and he goes ahead with the Solis fight, you'll come on here and say "Bitschko is scared of Haye", won't you?
Fair enough. But, I guess you can understand if Vitali is skeptical. If Haye signed to fight Vitali and then pulled out before the fight, not many people would be surprised by this. Vitali wants to stay active in the last couple of years of his fighting career and he doesn't want people pulling out of fights again. So, maybe some type of backup plan is needed.. For example if Haye signs to fight Vitali then Solis is payed step aside money but, is advised to continue training because of the likelihood of Haye pulling out of the fight? - If that's the case then I guess I'm not against Vitali pursuing Haye again.
Why do we assume that Haye and Booth even want a Vitali fight? Last I read, they were not interested in a fight with Vitali. I've also not heard anything about Haye/Booth switching their interest to Vitali, now, either. They are apparently taking (being forced into) the Chagaev mandatory fight..... Given the opportunity, Vitali would beat nine kinds of holy hell outta David Haye in a heartbeat. That you can bet on.
The Solis fight has nothing to do with Haye not being able to fight Vitali. It is March 19th. Haye doesn't have a Sky PPV date until July 2nd. Solis is not stopping this fight at all. Plenty of time for a July 2nd fight after Vitali beats Solis. Time for Haye to man up and call Vitali out for July 2nd. :deal
vlad fight has more intrigue because u know if the hayemaker taps that chin its lights out!! Vitali is a beast!! id would b better if haye fought him when he holds all his little brothers belts in a chance for their revenge!!
No, he's not. He has always said he would fight either but the Wlad fight was always way more interesting. Let's see what Vitali does. If he doesn't aak for permission to postpone the currently unsigned Solis bout, can we assume he is ducking Haye?
:blood I guess we can also assume that if Adamek don't call his fight plans off, and make a statement about how he wants Haye, he's also *ducking* Haye? And if Povetkin don't start calling Haye out, he too, is *ducking* Haye? :-(
Everybody forgets that the first date that works for both RTL and Sky is July 2nd. This is 6 months from now. Vitali fights Solis on March 19th - plenty of time to make the July 2nd fight. Haye just needs to fight Chagaev in March and then it is set.
They aren't even potential opponents, so of course not. However, Vitali is a potential opponent. It would be a unification fight and the only way Haye will fight two Klitschko's this year. He doesn't have a fight, it's a fight everyone wants to see, so why not? It's hardly comparable to Adamek/Haye or Povetkin/Haye, but I think you know that.
The fight isn't signed and could still be postponed if Vitali asks the WBC for permission to do so. The thing is, it's easy for people to say "Haye can have a PPV here, Khan can have one there, Haye can have a PPV later" but that's just not realistic. There's a limit to the numbers of PPV's which are possible in each year. You can't have Haye/Chagaev, Khan/Peterson, Haye/Vitali, another Khan fight later in the year, two Frank Warren cards and possibly even Froch too. That's just ridiculous and it can't happen. There's a limit to the number of PPV's Sky can have. A six month wait for Haye/Vitali would be fine, I think. I don't think either would need a tune-up or anything. The question is, will Vitali even attempt to make the fight happen? If he doesn't, will you be prepared to call him a "coward" or "ducker"?
