Haye has putrid defense, not the size of either the klitschkos, weak chin (he even himself admitted Monte stunned him a couple of times, Monte is NOT known as a puncher), his stamina hasn't been tested, and even the post commentators pointed out that as the rounds progressed that he was slowing down. His style makes him exciting, but so was the likes of Arturi Gotti's, but we know what happend to Gotti when he faced skilled opposition.
There are too many question marks. Haye has yet to be tested at heavyweight. He must fight a serious contender first. Also, can Haye take a good heavyweight punch?
You believe he has bigger punching power than Tyson yet he has had only 1 HW fight? And Vitali who has never been stopped in his tracks if going to be KO'ed by Haye? You sir, are an idiot. Proceed to find the nearest ledge and commit that.
At this point, Vitali should be able to dispose of Haye without too much trouble. He walked through Corrie Sanders' best shots and stopped him. He was winning over Lewis before getting stopped on a cut. He was winning over Byrd before a torn rotator cuff. He crushed Herbie Hide. He knocked out Danny Williams who'd only been KOd once by that time. Only one man has ever lasted the distance with Vitali, and that's Timo Hoffman, who's only ever been stopped once, and that was a TKO in the last round against the massive upcoming prospect Alexander Dimitrenko. He's got the best KO percentage of any heavyweight champion. Ever. To include Mike Tyson after his first title victory by KO over Berbick. Klitschko has dealt with fighters as fast as Haye in Chris Byrd and as, if not more powerful, than Haye in Hide, Lewis, Sanders, and Peter. Klitschko is a man who, in 38 fights, has lost only a smattering of rounds in his entire career and those only against champions. And some people are picking a brand-new heavyweight stepping up 20 pounds to knock out a man who will outweigh him by another 30 pounds on fight night, carry a 2 inch reach advantage and 4 inch height advantage, and has made a 12-year career of dominating every heavyweight in his path? Come on, now. The hype is strong with this one. I'm not a Klitschko 'nut-hugger', I'm just stating facts. Haye is exciting to watch. Haye is a big hitter, and he's fast and eager. He's also untested as a heavyweight and calling out the most fearsome opponent in the heavyweight division. Use some sense.
Name a fighter who used speed effectively against Vitali? Sanders was pretty fast, he received one of the most brutal beatings Vitali ever dished out. Herbie Hide seemed much faster than Vitali on TV, didn't help him. Vitali doesn't need great speed, his height plus reflexes, timing and consistent punches from all angles neutralize speed advantages in opponents effectively. Besides, Vitali trained specifically for Peter and fought him the way he needed to in order to win. He would prepare very differently for a fast fighter like Haye and fight differently. So far, none of Vitali's opponents have done very well in exploiting his seeming weaknesses. Lennox had the size and strength to brawl with Vitali, if Haye tries that, he is toast.
I agree. Lennox Lewis is the only guy that has really landed a good shot on Vitali. Vitali is very hard to hit.
You cant compare Sanders speed with Hayes, Haye is way quicker, throws punches from all sorts of angles, it will be nothing like the Sanders fight. It seriously makes me wonder if all you people dissin Haye have actually ever seen him fight because some of the comparisons are just plain dumb. No one Vitali has faced has Hayes speed plain and simple. I still expect Vitali to win but it wont be as easy as people are making out. Please stop with the stupidness.
I beg to differ. Vitali has fought bigger punchers than Haye including Peter. Haye might very well be able to outbox Peter but he certainly doesn't have Peter's power, not by a longshot.
Are you ****in' kidding me? :rofl :yep Haye a harder puncher than Lennox Lewis? Surely you jest..............
