Helenius workrate and stamina are too low to trouble even a geriatric Vitali. Vitali would slowly batter Helenius until Wegner throws in the towel. It'd be suicide to throw in a young fighter like Helenius with a seasoned pro like Vitali prematurely. I'd rather see Helenius beat a bunch of young peers like Dimitrenko or Povetkin and then decide.
Agree. Let us not ruin Helenious too soon. There are precious few good prospects on the horizon, and Robert is certainly one of the precious few. Povetkin.............to hell with waiting on that guy any longer. What a joke his career has become. As for serious contenders............. Helenious, in a year or so, and in a couple years later, Boystov. The two best prospects to challenge for the title (s).
The spectacular ko of Peter papered over the cracks of what was a fairly mediocre performance. The fact that Peter could out-work Helenius didn't inspire me with confidence. He has promise but he has a long way to go before he's ready for someone like Vitali. The proposed fight with Lyakhovic is about as ambitious as his team should be at the moment.
vitali by tko 25 80.65% vitali by decision 7 22.58% helenius by tko 0 0% helenius by decision 0 0% draw 0 0% A total of 103.23 %. Nice!
Pretty much the way I see it, but I'm wondering. After listening to what Helenuis said about wanting to see how good he actually is against the best by sparring with Haye and if he beats The White Wolf, I wonder if he will target a fight with Vitali? He probably only has about 2 years at best to make a fight with him. Lyakhovic will certainly face Vitali within the year should he win.
