Now that this fight is being discussed a lot and threads are all over let's have a poll of who you think will win. Feel free to post why and how you think the fighter you picked wins.

    ----

With all the talks about the the lay-off Vitali is coming from and serious career threatening injuries it makes it very difficult to vote for him here. Especially when you have to realise that Vitali has some stamina issues if he's pressured enough to stay active, who other than Lennox Lewis put some serious pressure on Vitali?, and in that fight he was dead tired at the end which included Lewis but Vitali being tired can be understood considering how heavily he was bleeding and how vicious those cuts were with only one eye to see from. Peter's case is not better either, his three knockdowns against McCline proved something I was worried about, the amount of punishment he took from the biggest puncher in the division(Wladimir) DID damage his ability to take a punch a bit, thought it might be a fluke or something till I also saw Maskaev nail him and slightly stun him but had nothing to follow up with and was forced to clinch his self.

These facts surrounding both fighters proves recently is good enough to make it an exciting 50/50 type of fight, I have no doubts at all this will be action packed either and as a fan of both I hope they give us a clean fair fight. My pick will have to be Peter based on activity, if Peter can take Vitali's punches early then he has a very good change to either win rounds/decision as the fight goes with his activity or even a late TKO. The injuries Vitali is coming off from are damn serious and nearly got him to retire forever, we just don't know how active he will be in there and for how long, if Peter takes it early he should know that the fight is him to take late and that's what I predict he will do.

Vitali Klitschko will win. Probably by ko. He will be rusty but that won't change the outcome.

That never occured to me though it's a great point to be honest without the "Excuse" part. There is a very good chance Vitali might get tired late and his injuries could kick-in and ruin his performance, especially if Peter proves he can take his punch and is keeping the pressure up with serious punches.

That is exactly what will happen. Vitlay will try to knock Sammy out early and when that fails to materialize he'll quit on his stool.

    Vitali.

    Why?

Too much of a difference in height, skill level, Chin, defense. Vitali Klitschko has NEVER been outboxed by anyone.

    The way I see it.

Could be a TKO or a decision for Peter as Vitali fails to remain active.

You're totally ignoring the fact that he's coming off a 4 year lay-off with serious injuries, you really think he will be able to perform on the same level he did before in this one?

I'm a fan of both but I just can't see that happening.

  9. He won't have been completely inactive mate remember he'll have been sparring with his brother along with his brother's sparring partners and have done cardio with Wlad. His height, reach, power, akwardness should all still be there. I'm going with the big V to KO Peter here. I think he'll make Peter look like he did Williams and that's not me being funny thats what I see happening is all.

Until someone shows me different nobody has ever outboxed Vitali. I do think it will be a VERY exciting fight which the Heavyweight Division need right now. It has the potential to be the most exciting fight since Lennox/Vitali.

Vitali will win big...in both of his losses Vitali was still ahead on the score cards...Peter's only chance is to hit him with the stool between rounds!!

or peter could get sloppy and walk into a huge right counter. Peter will give Vitali plenty of chances to land flush. If Maskaev can land power shots on Peter, Vitali will certainly have ample opportunity....and when ur defeense consists of blocking punches with your face, u will eventually pay for it especially in the hw division. seriously, it's some of the worst defense around. very hard to maintain a high level of consistency when u have major holes in your game like that. Peter wins with his will and heart and that's a dangerous approach no matter how good a chin is.

This fight could go either way, Peter's chin is suspect.

But Vitali has not fought in like 3 years or something so i will have to go with Peter based on activity.
