I don't know why people think Briggs needs to come in lighter, when his only chance of winning is landing a big shot in the first 3 rounds, he needs as much weight behind that punch or punches as possible. If he doesn't knock him out in-between 3 this fight is over.
It is the "lighter is better" mentality. It is lame, and wrong. The top pro's know this which is why they come in heavier than ever.
Is your post ironic? Otherwise you don't know how boxing works. Briggs in his prime weighed 225. Briggs is one of this old boxer who may hype a fight for the press, say they are in shape but then turn up at the weigh in way heavier than they predicted. The heavy weight will affect Brigg's conditioning and speed, explosiveness in the ring. No , Briggs will not have a bigger power, remember speed is also power. This reminds me of James Toney. Now Vitali is even a biggger favorite.
Its been a long fun ride for Vitali. But he run is going to end. Briggs is just to strong for Vitali. Vitali is going to get hit hard early and is going to get cut up really bad. His skin is just to weak. I think it is going to get stopped on cuts in the third round. And vitali is going to get knocked down for the first time.
Looks like Briggs has been pounding down the shnitzels and beer all week! What happened to coming in somewhere in the 240's? haha Vitali by TKO in rnd 8.
Briggs will be fine at this weight Vitali will face an onslaught especially early and that's where it will be the most interesting. I still pick Briggs KO 3.
theres something i will never understand about americans.. this kind of behavior grown man acting like a clown.. wtf atsch
