    It'll be a decision.

I can't see Vitali beating someone 70lbs and 5" taller than him.

Valuev could easily squeeze a fight in by early Jan....he's been inactive, and has had almost 2 yrs to recover from his shoulder injury.
I could see Valuev getting a tuneup before a mid Mar-Apr fight with Vitali.
BTW, Although I don't particularly think Stiverne is a great HW, he's def Bclass with potential.....he did win the eliminator, and DOES deserve his payday himself. IMO, Vitali, at 40+ y/o needs to **** or get off the pot with this fight. Yeah, it's NO $$$, probably little competition T/KO-6/7, but he NEEDS to squeeze this mandate in before Valuev. Just IMO.

Valuev meanwhile could fight Austin or Solis and get a mandate himself, although with his size and huge fanbase, doubt he needs it to get his 35%.

And TBH, the public had been calling for this fight for as long as the K2 have been...about 7 yrs now....his emergence during Vitalis absence was a shot in the arm in the division.....the man reeled off 13 consecutive wins, mostly by IMPRESSIVE KO from 03-07 against tough highC, and Bclass opposition. Obviously the diehards knew the oppositions limitations and saw Valuev's as well, but good matchmaking by DK and quick progression made the man a world wide celebrity that even the casual fan was interested in.
Look at the mans activity level during his 5 yr world domination tour. 21 fights, 1 L MD to Chagaev(close and good fight IMO). Yeah, he ended his run with losses to Holyfield 44/45?, and Haye, but he got the gift vs Holy, and MOST fans had him beating Haye. All the while, from late 07- his Haye loss, he was suffering from a bad shoulder.........I mean talk about DK cashing a fighter in:twisted:, but for a man of his size, and the punishment he was taking from the A class fighters, he should have only been in there 2-3X/yr MAX.....but the $$$$ was there and unlike MANY HWCs he was willing to fight em all.........DK aside, I think Valuev woulda jumped through hoops to make a K2 fight....now that he's outta his contract, in shape and healthy, I could see him making an immediate impact in the division. Power is the last to go, and chin rarely degrades.....his jab was his #2 offensive weapon, and IMO, regardless of activity, it will still be the #2 jab in the divison next to Waldimirs.

Just saying........1 tuneup, Solis, Austin, Chagaev, Liakovich(all relevant top 30 HWs) and the man is right back in the mix.

I'd tip him right now to beat Potvetkin, he'd KO Dimitrenko or Fury within -5, and hold his own vs most of the surging HWs like Wach, Mitchell, and Helenius(although he might get T/KOd here).

War VALUEV Every which way but loose!:deal CLYDE STYLE!:thumbsup
