Even if he did(dont believe it) its not important all that matters is the fights, and there is 100 of stories about sparring KOs means nothing
Rico Ramos dropped and schooled Rigondeaux in a sparring session. Then remember what actually happened when they fought?
CHEF already addressed this. Oquendo's manager wasn't at the training camp, CHEF was for the entire thing and said its all bull****.
Not a fan of the K2s at all. But I respect them and this is really just grasping at straws. Let it go.
Oquendo can't throw a proper punch so I doubt this is true. Fres' trainer should work on technique with him instead of starting internet feuds with fat piece of **** writers.
lol Back in 2010 Oquendo had a 4 round exhibition boxing match with MMA fighter Andrei Arlovski and got dropped in the 3rd round ffs, im assuming with headgear, yet he gave the Klychko's all he could handle. Sure Fres.
Exactly so. Fighters spar in order to work on various techniques. It's almost never, "just a fight." Also, many times the sparring partner wears headgear, but the main fighter does not, because the partner is not supposed to be firing back with his entire arsenal. So, sometimes mistakes happen. Don't mean ****. - not that there's any truth to this particular rumor.
Monzon vs. Frazier was the longest running false rumor. All signs point to Frazier and Monzon being in the same country rarely, and no ties to them ever training, knowing the same people, etc. Basically, it didn't happen as far as anyone can tell, but the rumor was that Monzon dropped and stopped Joe Frazier in sparring. As for Calderon sparring, these are true. He sparred Oscar and Mosley both back in 2007 and was said to have completely and thoroughly dominated both of them. Apparently he barely got touched. I think, could be wrong, but think that Oscar and/or Mosley have even admitted such.
